Watching you wash the duvet cover in the river, made me realize how lucky I am to have a washing machine……something that I have taken for granted, until now. ❤ You work so very hard as a mom and a wife, yet you find the time to care for your elderly neighbors and girlfriends. This woman is amazing. The family is honorable.
My elders would tell us stories of how they washed their clothes, sheets, and blankets in the river and I thought they were exaggerating but now I don’t think they were exaggerating one bit… hehehe. They’d also tell us how they’d walk 2 hours to school through the woods or jungle back and forth each day. I realize I am definitely fortunate and blessed in this life time.
Watching this was so restful and relaxing.

I see the things I take for granted and I wanna throw them out and pack my chickens, dogs, maybe the husband and invite my children and grandchildren and move to rural China or somewhere that is as tranquil and simple as your home is. I don’t go into the city and I try to only go to the store when absolutely necessary and I garden and tend my own flock of chickens here, even though I live on the edge of the city. I wish there was a place I could live that had a sense of community like you have there. I’d trade all conveniences for a true connection with the people in my community!

I'm seeing this today. Brought back memories of washing machine I have someone made me think it wasn't that great, remember the washing machine my grandmother had, and the one she had before she got the one. A scrab board and tub. Now, I feel so grateful.

YAAAY!!! I did find out that if you do Not clean off a layer of something off of a chicken egg, then they can sit for weeks unbothered in a drawer or on an egg rack!

Too much work for me...all that planting, harvesting, chopping, having to cook every meal - no fast foods, no television.
I commend you and your husband and son. Glad his family and friends have tucked you into their circle. I commend you also for your concern and generosity to the elderly and to your neighbors
It's alot of work but in most African home girls are trained to manage a home that way
Not too much that is how people live their lives in the rural areas. I come from Zim this is exactly our life but bigger tracts of land to plough, plant, weed, fertilize and harvest. That's motherhood anyway, we are born to narture.
From Kenya and it's the same in the villages this is how people live...some don't even have cookers! They use firewood!!! But once there,you adapt and life moves on. Very big farms in Kenya.
I'm a senior citizen with arthritis, I wouldn't survive. I see the elderly there sitting on 2 feet high stools...I'd never make it down nor up. They're out picking tea leaves, hoeing, in the cold, in the heat, in the rain, etc. Nope...not for me!
She works hard but that's how it is in Africa also, where she moved from...and yes. They do have a TV...in another room that they seldom show...they also watch programs on their laptop so...not as isolated as you think...❤❤😂😂🎉🎉🎉and they even OCCASIONALLY BUY FOODS ALREADY PREPARED IN TOWN, YEP!😊😊

Hello Rose… it would be nice to see how you collect water for cooking etc. since it doesn’t seem like you have running water through the pipes. I love your videos ❤️
They have running water. You can see it clearly in the sink where she has done most of her washing and her bath room where she brushed her teeth and washed her face.
She has running tap water right outside her door.
They have running water inside and outside the house. Where they wash food, dishes on the outside sink and bathroom taps.

A container to cook with and heat for drinks. But you are also right there is a tap in bath and outside. Maybe just no running water in the kitchen.
@@mrmrsaofbarredowlcabin405 Generally, Chinese don't like to drink raw water from tap even if they live in western countries. There are two reasons why most Chinese households like Rose using a water tank for cooking: firstly, it can make any impurities in running water sink to the bottom to make water cleaner for cooking; secondly, it can reduce time and avoid water splashing when you scoop up large amount of water for cooking in one go.
