My elders would tell us stories of how they washed their clothes, sheets, and blankets in the river and I thought they were exaggerating but now I don’t think they were exaggerating one bit… hehehe. They’d also tell us how they’d walk 2 hours to school through the woods or jungle back and forth each day. I realize I am definitely fortunate and blessed in this life time.

I see the things I take for granted and I wanna throw them out and pack my chickens, dogs, maybe the husband and invite my children and grandchildren and move to rural China or somewhere that is as tranquil and simple as your home is. I don’t go into the city and I try to only go to the store when absolutely necessary and I garden and tend my own flock of chickens here, even though I live on the edge of the city. I wish there was a place I could live that had a sense of community like you have there. I’d trade all conveniences for a true connection with the people in my community!

YAAAY!!! I did find out that if you do Not clean off a layer of something off of a chicken egg, then they can sit for weeks unbothered in a drawer or on an egg rack!
I'm seeing this today. Brought back memories of washing machine I have someone made me think it wasn't that great, remember the washing machine my grandmother had, and the one she had before she got the one. A scrab board and tub. Now, I feel so grateful.

Not too much that is how people live their lives in the rural areas. I come from Zim this is exactly our life but bigger tracts of land to plough, plant, weed, fertilize and harvest. That's motherhood anyway, we are born to narture.
From Kenya and it's the same in the villages this is how people live...some don't even have cookers! They use firewood!!! But once there,you adapt and life moves on. Very big farms in Kenya.
I'm a senior citizen with arthritis, I wouldn't survive. I see the elderly there sitting on 2 feet high stools...I'd never make it down nor up. They're out picking tea leaves, hoeing, in the cold, in the heat, in the rain, etc. Nope...not for me!
She works hard but that's how it is in Africa also, where she moved from...and yes. They do have a TV...in another room that they seldom show...they also watch programs on their laptop so...not as isolated as you think...❤❤😂😂🎉🎉🎉and they even OCCASIONALLY BUY FOODS ALREADY PREPARED IN TOWN, YEP!😊😊

They have running water. You can see it clearly in the sink where she has done most of her washing and her bath room where she brushed her teeth and washed her face.
@@andrewzhang985 yes but it seems maybe it’s not for drinking/cooking? For example she dips water from A container to cook with and heat for drinks. But you are also right there is a tap in bath and outside. Maybe just no running water in the kitchen.

There are two reasons why most Chinese households like Rose using a water tank for cooking: firstly, it can make any impurities in running water sink to the bottom to make water cleaner for cooking; secondly, it can reduce time and avoid water splashing when you scoop up large amount of water for cooking in one go.
Wow! It's amazing how clear looks the water, you can see through and watch the big rocks in the bottom of the river, I wish I could sit there just refreshing my feet and enjoying the solitude of the nice view, you are tremendously lucky pretty lady ❤

They have running water. You can see it clearly in the sink where she has done most of her washing and her bath room where she brushed her teeth and washed her face.
She has running tap water right outside her door.
They have running water inside and outside the house. Where they wash food, dishes on the outside sink and bathroom taps.

There are two reasons why most Chinese households like Rose using a water tank for cooking: firstly, it can make any impurities in running water sink to the bottom to make water cleaner for cooking; secondly, it can reduce time and avoid water splashing when you scoop up large amount of water for cooking in one go.
