My cousin, Patrice Martinez, was the female lead in Three Amigos an had nothing but kind words for Martin and the whole cast. Unfortunately she passed away in 2018, but have fond memories of her and the funniest trio of amigos!.

Judy, thank you for sharing that. That movie is one of my all time favorites, and it saddens me that "Carmen" is no longer with us. She was absolutely stunning, and such a great actress. Your comment just adds a sense of,.. "these are real people too"... I don't know how to explain it,.. but ,.. I am sorry for your loss. She was great.

Grown Ups kind of did with all of Adam Sandlers buddies in the two films. Chris Rock, Adam, David Spade, Rob Schnieder, he had a show he was busy on so backed out of sequel, Maya Rudolph, Tim Meadows, Norm MacDonald, but some scenes were deleted for time, Jackie Sandler, his wife, his real kids, Saide and Sunny, Kevin James , who he worked with before and producer Paul Blart movies for, NIck Swardon, in the sequel with whom Adam is close friends with and produced his Bucky Larson film, Oliver Hudson, in the sequel who worked with Spade on Rules Of Engagement and is son of Goldie Hawn and brother of Kate Hudson, Ellen Cleghorne, Colin Quinn, Andy Samberg, Bobby Monihan, Taran Killam, Paul Brittain, and Wille Forte...the last few were uncredited as cheerleaders and so on. Not the people you mentioned but SNL actors and comedians who worked with Sandler were all in the two films.

If you want to see a really cool role Martin did, watch 1998's Merlin with Sam Neill. Amazing TV mini series movie that is my second favorite Arthurian film next to Excalibur. You wouldn't know it's Martin Short playing the roll unless you looked it up

Martin is my favorite comedy icon. He has given us so much laughter through his stand up comedy and his impressions and his characters and television shows and film appearances and award winning stage performances. I think my favorite creation of his is Jiminy Glick. That was pure genius, to make someone through whom you could fictitiously mock and insult entertainers to their faces .... brilliant.

Put on the Pebble and the Penguin for the kids and heard Martin Short’s voice. I never knew 🤣.THIS WHOLE TIME! Every character he plays is so funny and endearing. His crosseyed blank stare gets me every time. He kind of scares me at the same time though, and now I know he imitates the dark personalities hidden by charm.

Wish this interview went into more of his characters/roles.
