"What kind of void was this" with his mouth full of doughnut... considering this was all improvised, that was utter genius... making an incredible joke while knowing Jon would follow through from his lead.
I just can't get over how fast Short is on the draw with these quips and comebacks. He's got veteran comedians tossing jokes his way, and he just swats 'em out of the park every time. If you get Mel Brooks laughing so hard that he asks you to give him time to catch his wind, man, you got jokes.

Martin Short always one of my favorites. Began watching him in the very early 80s. He was hilarious on SCTV, he was hilarious on SNL. He was hilarious in the movies. He's hilarious now. The man is genius. One of the greats.
It's interesting how people's perceptions change as they grow and learn and gain new experiences. I remember when I was younger, I was very rigid and didn't like strange, out of the ordinary things. And I couldn't STAND Jiminy Glick. I thought it was the stupidest, unfunniest, most idiotic thing ever. I just now watched this clip and was crying from laughing so hard. This character is pure comic genius. Times sure do change and I'm glad I did too.
I like it when they try and break Martin's character, but he ends up breaking them down first. Its the best seeing comedians trying to make eachother laugh.
He came out on to a talk show once and the first thing he did was shout at the audience 'stop loving me!' and I lost it. That was my introduction to this genius.

Martin Short always one of my favorites. Began watching him in the very early 80s. He was hilarious on SCTV, he was hilarious on SNL. He was hilarious in the movies. He's hilarious now. The man is genius. One of the greats.
It's interesting how people's perceptions change as they grow and learn and gain new experiences.
I remember when I was younger, I was very rigid and didn't like strange, out of the ordinary things.
And I couldn't STAND Jiminy Glick.
I thought it was the stupidest, unfunniest, most idiotic thing ever.
I just now watched this clip and was crying from laughing so hard. This character is pure comic genius.
Times sure do change and I'm glad I did too.

I'm sure it LOOKS easy but damn it has to be WAY WAY harder then it looks, he truly is a man of talent.
He came out on to a talk show once and the first thing he did was shout at the audience 'stop loving me!' and I lost it. That was my introduction to this genius.

Martin Short really shines when he is doing this character. To be able to get THE best of the best comedians to truly laugh doing these interviews is amazing. His quick wit/improv is legendary!
This is the first time I've ever seen this character. Martin Short is nothing short of a national treasure. Genius.

To make these masters of comedy laugh AND break character is a testament to Short's utter genius. Jiminy is always a sure fire pick me up.

Just found this. I laughed so hard, I cried several times.
I still am partial to the Ultimate Dog Tease and the captioned Joe Cocker singing With a Little Help From My Friends .... but this is coming up in ranking
I find it funnier the more I watch it. the first time was a bit odd, funny but then , like a fine wine or a meal created by the greatest chef, it grows better and better amazing comic and such a beautiful man inside and out
I love how generous and collaborative most.of them are...with the glaring exception of Seinfeld.
Right? Seinfeld came off as desperate to one-up him, but couldn't do it in any sort of creative way so instead just became relentlessly petulant. The others were fantastic. 😊

@Bratislav Dragic, What part of my comment about developing a crush on Jerry, based on his interaction with the opposite character, would make someone (yourself or someone else) feel compelled to be rude or insulting? I subscribe to joking with those close to me when they show emotions as it is a way to lighten things up when they are down or as a way to tease. My teenage son does it to me daily and I appreciate it cause it keeps me from taking life too seriously.
I would like to understand the logic behind the rudeness cause otherwise it appears like you were trolling and being a dick towards someone you probably find unattractive or I remind you of someone you strongly dislike.
