This is nothing... They've talked about punching him and stuff on the radio before. Calling the cops on him and filing complaints, trying to have him arrested for trespassing when he's on the road shoulder, etc. Idk if it's just one guy but I know one guy has caused most of the drama. Pretty sure it's the guy who said "Oh there will be no smiling"
Canadian Pacific engineers can be like that. I talk to a CN engineer one day and they say they don't mind at all and I tell em I make sure your privacies are being respected and to ensure I'm not trespassing on rail property to capture trains. And they say they appreciate railfans. These guys need an attitude adjustment.
I can"t imagaine why a train crew would have any beef with someone making a recording, viseo and audio, of the crew just doing their job. The only complaint I would have is if there was some money being made, I would want some of it.
They are required by law to blow the horn for all grade crossings, nothing "at least" about it,but they don't do it for a crossing, they can get fired for it.
HMmm? Do these engineers ever go to the mall or walk down the street? Cause there are videos every where? Come on man! It’s a video/photo internet media world.
I like videoing trains and I'm guilty as charged for chasing some, but I do agree with many of these comments. Putting myself in the shoes of the train crews, I can definitely see where it can get annoying. All railfans and foamers need to be respectful of each train crew's privacy no matter what the situation is.
I'd like to know exactly what expectation of privacy you feel train crews have as long as the person filming is on public property. If these crews can't handle a railfan, I'd hate to see them visit New York City where there are cameras monitoring their every move...
+Joe - I agree totally! The train crew should NOT be focused on a railfanner! They should be focused on...I don't know...THEIR JOB PERHAPS!!! If you're doing your job on a train, why would you care if a railroad enthusiast (aka Railfanner) is taking a few photos, or shooting video! They should feel honored that other people are intrigued by their job, and trains in general! WTF
Want privacy keep the window closed can't see em anyways because of the tinted windows I use to wave to em every once in a while not no more personally I could care less weather they wave or not.
Has the PR dept. at the CP seen how their personnel act towards the public? Why would someone that works on a large and loud machine get upset at someone who is recording the experience? The only people in public that do not want people recording them are people doing something wrong. Does the CP personnel feel like they are going to be recorded doing something wrong? If it makes them feel better they can come down to TIM's and record me taking out the trash, maybe then they will feel better about their job driving a TRAIN!
GORDON ROBERTS you wouldn't know what they were saying unless you spent hundreds of dollars on a radio some foamers spend that kind of money to listen in a radio chatter on cp and cn radio waves just saying
I had a Norfolk Southern crew get on the radio and say, "Man, must be nice to have no day job and sit around and watch trains all day." on the radio... on my one day off that week.
Absolutely, when I reported to the railroad that cars had almost derailed I had no idea that it was the crew's fault. I think maybe they caught crap over this video: th-cam.com/video/ZAI9Qe5yJRQ/w-d-xo.html Thanks, Jason
I'm an Italian freight train driver and I have to say that I am happy to see young boys filming me. I always do lightworks and I play my horn...
"oh there will be no smiling" what an ass!! good speed though
Yeah, He hasn't even got his ditch lights on,..... Heh,...... Agreed with your comment jordan,.....
Wow, that is surprising, down in Rochelle Illinois they'll even blow the horn for railfans
Guys here on the Laggen are the best, They give Horn Salutes in No Horn Zones
NICE!! :)
Wow unfriendly crew right there
taylor agree i stick with ns and csx
I think they need to be thankful for Railfans. There aren't so many out there.

I’m from Houston Texas. And our train crews are nothing like this. They always give us horn shows and occasionally wave.
The majority of the crews are friendly. Cheers, J
nice video Jay and great catch of the 2 cp power on the freight train.
I could be wrong but I saw some middle fingers
Sign language. :)
They were telling him he's number 1
Lmao Jay tysm I love your videos! You are awesome.
Thanks for watching & commenting.

Awesome K5HLA On #9363!
cranky crew chill out bro
As of a few years ago CP had poor management- don't know if that has improved any.
Oh, well? Someone is a Crabby Appleton. "There will be no smiling"! At least he blew his horn?

interesting train make-up. must have been a "light" stack train... had to fill out the remaining tonnage with some random manifest freight

bkriegel95 I agree it would get old
not too much expectation of privacy when you're out in the wide open outdoors

9363 has a K5HLA would sound like a P5OC and a M5
I say to those engineers with their ignorance towards Railfans WHY DON'T YOU GROW UP. COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS THAT YOU HAVE TRAIN LOVERS OUT THERE.

I enjoy telling them I make a living from TH-cam (which is a lie) - it makes them twitch. lol
I make a fair bit, but I do know some people who can almost sustain themselves from rail fanning... almost! Wouldn't that be the life?
A video must had got them written up for some kind of a violation. No way are they just that bitter.
