Really appreciate that this isn't done with an obnoxious tune and that this is pretty straight forward on methodology and conditions since it's a lot easier to judge the exhaust itself.
I love that both sound and performance are tested with the same conditions (and audio equipment), it really helps with making an objective decision for buying one of these! Also the links for the store pages in the description look to be cut off by some character limit.
Thank you so much man for making this video i have been trying to find an exhaust for my st for quite some time now and so far the two videos you made have helped me out so much and I’d just like to say thank you
JP... thanks for the hard work and awesome 2 part series on the popular cat backs for the Focus ST. Appreciate the high quality content y'all keep pumping out, man. Ran with the AWE Track three years ago and still love it.
Hey I just wanted to thank you. Can’t believe these videos just came out a few days ago! Deserves so much more views and subs. Hope this channel grows y’all deserve it with all these different exhaust test. Think I’ve made up my mind on the AWE Track, was torn between Track and Touring because of drone fears. It appears the Track is superior! Take care
I have a Mountune catted downpipe and exhaust. Can't even explain how much I love this exhaust being an adult. Quiet when cruising, loud when you are on it
Late to the party but this guide helped me pick out my exhaust! I went with the greddy cat back because of the flanged connections and the sound, im not crazy on super loud exhaust but this'll definitely make my ears happy
Once again, thank you so much for testing out each exhaust system. There is an array amount of exhaust systems out there. This helps me decide what exhaust system to purchase for my ST.
Our pleasure! If you need any more assistance or would like to claim one for yourself, make sure to reach out! We should have most of these in stock still
Thank you for this video, was my deciding video for awe track, after almost a year still love this exhaust, it's a keeper. I did replace the bolts on the tips with tempered gold ones since the stock ones failed for me.
I bought the track thinking it was gonna be super loud and was a little disappointed lol. But I'm glad it is. There is zero drone and it's not a cop magnet. It loud when you want it and smooth when you're cruising
I'd say there's probably some cooler setups out there, but I like my mbrp exhaust just because it sounds a bit deeper and bassy rather than the raspy tone that some others have. And it doesn't drone on the highway when I'm making long trips, but I guess if you got free bird turned up loud enough it won't matter either way.
I've had the mbrp for about 5 months now and haven't herd any rattles or scrapes from its fitment but I did res delete it after the first two months to get some more sound from it.
What I noticed about my AWE resonated touring is that it got a lot louder after a few 100 miles. It takes a while for the AWE resonator to break in which is why the track may have seemed tame initially. The resonated touring is however is still pretty loud under WOT but being drone free with minimal rasp on my catless EFR6758 w ported head. It's nice having the muffler and resonator with an aftermarket DP
Nice to hear! Ordered my resonated Touring about a month ago and looking forward to installing it. Seems like there aren't nearly as many people running the Touring versus the Track version.
Hey would you recommend the AWE resonated touring over the AWE track? Such a hard decision, I’m thinking the Resonated touring is the way. No drone whatsoever meanwhile I’ve seen plenty say the track drones.
Great second video. You guys captured the sound of these exhausts exactly. The AWE Touring sounds exactly like mine does and it's clear I picked the wrong exhaust. The Track does sound better than the touring. I still think I would've been happiest with a higher end MBRP. That exhaust seems to have a nice rumble to it.
Is the Touring overly loud? I specifically went with the resonated Touring over the Track to be less obnoxious, but this video makes me think I also chose the wrong exhaust. lol
@@CaseyHardman you choose the wrong exhaust. Send that back and get the Track. The touring sounds exactly like it does here as it does in real life. I now realize why everyone I saw bought the Track. When I was looking.
Hey you’re making me want to get the track instead. I’ve heard the track drones more than resonated touring but idc at this point. I’m thinking track is the way to go. What do you think?
@@coltonconroy1384 I feel people's definition of drone is different. If I'm running down the freeway in my car with the touring over 70mph, it's loud. I mean you have to turn the radio up or talk louder to have a convo. It doesn't sound good either. I would take the track over the touring after seeing these videos. With or without "drone".
@@coltonconroy1384 one more thing you might wanna think about. If you go big turbo with an EWG, your exhaust will get even louder. When you start to crack the wastegate.
Love the comparison! I wish this had been out before I chose my exhaust but I’m still beyond happy with my borla system! Maybe we could get this same sort of comparison for all the exhausts with an aftermarket catted downpipe for those of us who have our catback systems and are hesitant to get a downpipe? I don’t want something obnoxious to drive everyday and have to have a catted DP but there’s not a lot out there about catted DP with catback sound clips as most people seem to go catless (because racecar). Great work guys!
We will definitely be throwing a downpipe on Half Send before long, and it will definitely be CATTED. We only carry and tune catted products, so that's what we will stick with. We encourage our customers to do the same. I'm not sure we will do the whole lineup again, but the difference in volume we surely be covered!
Really like the way you guys did this. Looking forward to buying some parts from you soon. My current exhaust setup is 200-cell mbrp 3" downpipe to 3" mountune catback for the last two+ years
As for the AWE, the resonator is a flat out must. I dotn know why they even sell the non-resonated. No disrespect to there design its just, a resonator is all your "sound refinement". I made that mistake and was disappointed but had them make me a resonator and absolutely love it now muffler or not it sounds great.
Great video thanks guys...I have 3 inch miltek sport no resonators only muffler all polished sounds great I think they are made in the UK I'm in NZ mine feels much more lively than other st I've driven Thanks again
@@EdgeAutosport I did, yea. Thanks! I just wonder if the Magnaflow is different as it's a straight through design, which seems more likely than just the 2.5" piping. 🤔
Hi Alan, I hope you see this. I'm looking for a 3-inch exhaust for my car. I got a catless downpipe (I'm in NZD) and am using a stock turbo. I'm looking for a gentleman's exhaust, similar to Mountune its 2.5inch, but not as expensive. What do you think of the Rev9 Exhaust Ford Focus ST (2013-2018) 3" Muffler Delete Catback with Resonator? I'm thinking of adding another resonator to the middle piece. want more power but not super super load lol🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
What did you like better between the mbrp and the Cobb, I want a tasteful exhaust that isn’t too obnoxious and I’m thinking about getting one of those two but I’m wondering which one sounds better.

Yup, but remember its 282 WHP (not BHP) and its at elevation. They might even be running 91 octane here. I can't remember if they're using ethanol or not.
