      @@rakoonstarcfc__248 midfield maybe but other than that? On attack you have son, Kane, bale, Lucas bergwin. All of them are great players then add in lo celso and lamella who are great attacking midfielders that could play upfront if need be. On defense there’s 3 centerbacks that you can start in any club and the fullback position has some depth too. They are nowhere near the level of Chelsea in some aspects but in terms of depth I think they beat them.

    I really feel for Eriksen. He was arguably their best player for years, certainly their most unsung. He chose to leave, after years of being underpaid, just as a manager with a storied history of amazing #10s walks through the door.

Lampard was an offensive midfielder in a team that enabled him to roam free and also bankrolled by Abramovich, Gerrard didn't have that luxury for the vast majority of his time at Liverpool. Look at the pre-post takeover stats for Lampard, it's pretty obvious. Excellent player, but Gerrard was more flexible and personally better all-round. Regardless, he didn't score over 200 goals in the league anyway.

      Unquestionable. Kevin De Bruyne might eventually make it onto that list if he stays a long while in the EPL. Pity for him he was unused at Chelsea and away in Germany for a few years. But he has some attributes as a midfielder that are on another level than even Scholes, Lampard, Keane, Gerrard and Viera (pace, crossing, dead balls, intricate short passing etc.). Maybe Gerrard is as speedy and better at long rangey runs.

    Lampard never had the technical abilities of some of the top players of both his era and today's era. He obviously had plenty ability but wasn't one of the best, not at all. What made him a top, top player was his work ethic, his professionalism and his commitment. One of my childhood idols

      His technique wasn’t the best to start with, but by the time he peaked his technical levels was crazy, he mastered the art of a number 8 wasn’t the best at skills but could pull of a megs and a shimmy here and there, he excelled to another level, lamps in 04 compared to lamps in 2010 shows his growth, it’s not about the skills and flair it’s all about the making the next move the right move. Like u said though work ethic and his commitment to be the best actually made him the best 8 in Europe’s top 5 leagues if not top 3

He would always try to be a step ahead, there's a great video somewhere about the amount of times a top player would look around in the 10 seconds before getting the ball vs a decent player and Lampard was the main example used as he would always be aware of positioning and space

    Levy brought in Mourinho with full intent of sacrifising attractive football to win trophies under any style. Under Poch everyone praised their playing style but they never managed to win anything. Winning is the most difficult thing, for Klopp and Guardiola to do it playing attractive football just shows they are Leo Messi and CR7 of the coaching universe - Mourinho does it by having talented players do the dirty defensive work and counter relying on individual brilliance which as a coach is perfectly fine to do, if u win.

      Disagree - Guardiola vastly improved Sterling, Walker, Sane, B Silva, De Bruyne, Fernandinho (i appreciate some were already prem winners but he made them even better especially De Bruyne and Sterling) but Klopps a different story entirely - Salah, Mane, Firminio, Henderson, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Gomez, Ox are just some of the players Klopp has absolutely transformed from poor/average and good players to world class. Period. Where were these players and performance levels before Klopp?- undisputed best Coach on earth and im a Man U fan. Mourinho inherited a briliant Spurs team, UCL finalists at the time so ur arguements are irrelevant here.

    Big fan of frank lampard probably just misses out on my top 10 of premierships greatest central midfielders ever: viera fabregas scholes Gerrard Pogba Keane Bruno de Bryune toure silva are my top 10 in no order. Lampard was obviously the best goal scoring midfielder and determination and passion for the game was out of this world but I just prefer technical players.
