I think he will go all the way aswell. As right as you are, prem make or break. But imo Vincent has something special about him. He is so intelligent and disiplined. Looking forward to see him in the prem
One of the only city players I ever liked. No falseness and he really understands football. When he said “north west of England”, you get the impression that he REALLY understands the game. It’s where the a lot of the founding members of the football league are Accrington, Bolton, Burnley, Blackburn, Preston, Everton. When you see those old stadiums like Goodison & Turf Moor just looming up out of the houses in the middle of a town and go through the old turnstiles that are so small and cramped; you really start to feel something change inside you. You realise that this has been going on for 150 years and that players like Sir Tom Finney & Sir Stanley Matthews will have once gone through the same turnstiles. You realise that you’re part of the history too.
I always enjoy listening to Vincent Kompany. A very intelligent man, who takes his time to give full explanations when answering questions and provides contexts and back stories where necessary.
Can’t stop thinking about the fact that he was kicked out of school and yet so clearly has so much to offer the world. Hate the idea that others are thrown on the scrap heap in the same situation.
Such a great insight on how keepers are and the change over the last 10-15 years. Much like big men in basketball that were taught posting up as kids and never developed the 3 ball and now they're unemployed.
Kompany has to stay at Burnley for at least 3-5 years. The fluidity he speaks about football at its purist, his burning desire is breathtaking. Update; he may leave soon😭😂
I remember watching that goal and shouting out worldy but more than that a little late you were just in your half and all you could hear was shoooot😂 What a fella absolutely love the 'no regrets'
The year he scored that goal, we lost Vidic early in the season, City kept Kompany fit all the season. The other way around we would have won the league. I am giving VK credit, he is one of them rare players who can impact the importance of everyone around him.
Never in my life being starstruck by anyone except him. RSCA came to play my favorite team (Antwerp) and me and some other guys would give the kick off. I came out of the player tunnel and he just passed me to go back in after the warm up. He has an aura over him that reaches pretty far. Can not put it any other way. Wanted to say something, think wanted to ask a selfie, but just could not speak a word due to his presence.
Thing i love about Kompany is that the more you hear him speak, the more you can hear his accent turning a bit manc-y 😂 What a top bloke too; hope he does really well with Burnley this season
When we 1st announced VK as our manager, even us Clarets weren't over confident.........but the 1st time we heard him speak about his plan, what he wanted and his obvious passion and desire, we were swooned. Then after the best ever season I've witnessed in my 25 years as a claret, as long as he doesn't shit on us, his name will go down as a claret legend. If he leaves this season, or in the next few to big club I don't think anyone could blame him. If he left for a club of a similar stature, then it would just be reminiscent of Owen Coyle to Bolton.
I always said " if my life depended on a top player becoming a top manager" then Vincent Kompany would have been my choice . I'm hoping he does great at Burnley , then comes back home and Manage Man City .
Always loved Vincent Kompany, a fantastic natural Leader always said he would be an amazing manager and I hope he goes on to achieve great things in football management which I think we can all agree he will.
I forget who said it but he said still, the best footballers in the world come from South America and he said the reason was that in that continent, kids still play all day long on the streets whereas in Europe, they don't, they only play in organized after school sessions for a couple of hours a week, the SA street kids play for several hours every day, that hones their skills, playing on rough ground just like Vinny said about Saurez.
My favorite MC team was the year 2011 when they won their first Premier League title; unforgettable team- Hart, Kompany, Clichy, Lescott, Micah, Yaya Toure, Gareth Barry, David Silva, Samir Nasri , Aguero and Dzeko; subs Milner , Zabaleta, Balotelli and Tevez
As a United fan I hated this guy with passion n tbh that speaks volumes of the player he was he was a beast for City unbelievable defender who for me goes under the radar a bit today🤷🏾♂🤷🏾♂I'd say he’s the 3rd best CB ever in the prem after Rio n Vidic he was that good n he always popped up with such clutch goals✅✅now that he’s retired tho I have much more respect for him looking back he was a true great man n he’s my Congolese brother so I have to respect him😅🇨🇩also saw him after we played Burnley in the carabao cup n he’s such a humble guy took time to take pics with the same United fans who have given him abuse over the years fair play to him👏🏾👏🏾
One goal that strikes me with yaya is against arsenal at the emirates 2015/16 when he used the strangest technique to shoot the ball with his left foot
One thing I like about the channel, apart from the quality of the videos, is that everyone seems reasonable in the comment section. That's a rare thing! 😂
I think Anelka was an odd choice of comparison for Mbappe. As someone who watched Anelka a lot for Arsenal, and to a lesser extent for my own, Real Madrid - the reason why players sometimes couldn't get near him was definitely more based on his size and strength than it was on speed, so in that sense, he was definitely more similar to Haaland than Mbappe. And not to take anything away from Mbappe's ability as a player, but for several years now, I've seen him come up short whenever he's marked by players who can match his speed, and so I think it's a bit of a stretch describe him as someone you can't get near, as if he's a more sustainable version of Anelka in his very best form. I suppose there are fewer players who can match Mbappe's speed than there were players who could match Anelka's strength and size, perhaps.
He is going all the way as a manager. Incredible attitude and thoughtfulness. Special guy.
He'll have a hell of a test this year, The prem makes or breaks managers
I think he will go all the way aswell. As right as you are, prem make or break. But imo Vincent has something special about him.
He is so intelligent and disiplined. Looking forward to see him in the prem
@@ReverZe83he’s only got Burnley to work with. One day he will be at the wheel of Man City
@ryanphilpotts5821 I very much doubt that but I could be wrong.
What a man! What a player! What a Manager!

As a Liverpool fan, I could never seem to dislike Kompany. As much as I tried I always thought he was a great player and seemed a top bloke.
Same here mate, some clubs you dislike always have at least 1 player you can't help but admire, vince is defo one of em, proper captain
Same coming from a United fan here. Seems like a good man and honestly a player that, at his prime, any team would have been lucky to have.
Why would you try to hate someone you don't know?
@@Enscriptivare you new to football or something?
Am i the only one who loves Kompany's accent? Its like a proper english accent with the odd touch of French speaker to it🤯
And dutch as well
I always enjoy listening to Vincent Kompany. A very intelligent man, who takes his time to give full explanations when answering questions and provides contexts and back stories where necessary.
Always our Captain! Here's to you Vincent Kompany 💙
Arsenal fan here, big respect to Vincent top player and even better leader. Can see why he would demand allot of respect from fellow players
Respect!
I can see him taking over from PEP in 2 yrs time. He knows my club in & out. Vinny good luck in Burnley. Do great so you can come back🩵💙🩵💙🩵💙
Joe Hart will always be a City legend, at least in my eyes, for all the things Vinny mentioned
Thats not up for debate
Nobody disagrees just didn’t fit peps description with the whole playing with feet thing
not even a question. Joe Hart is CITY
he is!
Joe Hart was the only City player I ever liked. Felt bad to see his career go downhill since 2016
I remember buying kompany on LMA manger he was like 16/17 & he’s now manger of Burnley 😂😂 where did the time go man.
City fan and i did the same the 07/08. Still got the game, he was cheap, cheap wages a good player and he always left after a few years 😂
Kompany and Vanden Borre 🙌
LMA manager is a throwback! great games
@@garymc1105 I would get vanden borre and my bro would get kompany lol

Nice one Henry! 🤝
United fan bur god he's likeable! Got so much respect for him.
Just a very intelligent, down to earth fella. Regardless of who you support, you just cannot dislike Vincent Kompany.
I said it every time, but I love these interviews. Everyone seems lovely and it's just great to see you all getting on so well.

Bright, lovely guy and what a player he was!
Excellence as always Gary and what a guy Vincent seems to be. The rest of the episode should be another cracker to add to the long list.
As a Liverpool fan that Leicester goal was insane. What a player and man

great player and a good manager already. His thinking of the game is immense
Do one with Martin Tyler, he deserves it as a send off since he is leaving sky
I am sure Kompany will be a very special coach as much as he was a player. Wish him a great run now that Burnley are back in the premier league!

Also a stately home... Gawthorpe Hall. Burnley bought the training facility over 50 years ago. Its a stunning location and the set up is world class.
