‘What a load of sanctimonious twaddle’: Isabel Oakeshott clashes with panellists

TalkTV International Editor Isabel Oakeshott has slammed panellists for their “sanctimonious twaddle” over Sky News host Piers Morgan and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s bet, which will benefit a refugee charity.
Piers Morgan bet Rishi Sunak £1,000 to a refugee charity that his Rwanda plan wouldn’t get anyone on a plane before the next UK election.
“What a load of sanctimonious twaddle from both Paul [Mason] and Paula [Rhode-Adrien],” Ms Oakeshott told Mr Morgan.
“Paula hasn’t even watched the whole interview, so it’s rather difficult to imagine how she can possibly be pronouncing on it.
“Paula said she was disappointed, and I, too, am disappointed because I think you could’ve bet a whole lot more on that policy not working.
“At the end of the day, whatever the outcome of the bet … refugee charity is £1,000 better off, so I’m really struggling to see how anyone can genuinely criticise that.”
