To be fair, they’re pretty much all good songs on that album. Helloween is a top five metal band in my opinion and Master of the Rings is my favorite of their albums.
Yes! I've been a pumkinhead for 30 years. So glad to see them making it more into reaction channels. So many amazing songs in their catalog, and covering three amazing vocalists. I finally saw them live in Vegas in 18. Happy fan here.
T- you should know Michael Kiske (singer on Keeper) and Kai Hansen (original singer/guitarist) are back in the band, released single Pumpkins United in 18 and toured. They are in studio now recording new album.

Some info. This is there comeback album after 2 albums(Pink bubbles go ape and Chameleon) that fans didnt like that much. After the Keeper of the seven keys Part 1 and 2 one of there main somgwriter and guitarist(Kai Hansen) left to start his new band(Gamma Ray). After the album Chameleon the Singer Michael Kiske got fired and Andi Deris came into the group. So on this album there were 2 new members in Andi Deris as the new singer and the new drummer Uli Kusch. Since 2017 the band is again United with Kai Hansen(Guitar) and Michael Kiske(vocals). So the band now have 7 members. 2 singers in Michael Kiske and Andi Deris(also Kai Hansen on the material from there first album Walls of jericho). They ended a 2 year long reunion tour in december 2019 to go into to the studio an record a new album with all 7 members.

Ingo died in 1995. Kiske was kicked out in 1993. So how is that Kiske left because Ingo died? GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!
@@kaihenrik9639 Actually at the end of the Chameleon tour, they sent Ingo home to treat his schizophrenia condition that had gotten worse, along with drug abuse, and they finished the tour with the drummer Ritchie Abdel Nabi, so yeah, Ingo was not in the band when Kiske left! He was fired but actually he kinda provoked his own firing! Does any of it really matter that much nowadays?
The things we can agree on:
Kai was the original singer, but was replaced by Kiske after the first 2 albums. Kept playing guitar in the band, but eventually left to start Gamma Ray, due him and Weikath not going well together any more.
Kiske left/made himself get kicked out of the band, because him and Weikath didn't go well together either. And/or because his friend, Ingo, was not himself any more. Took him some 20 years to get back on a major stage again, as he formed Unisonic, which was later joined by Kai.
Ingo left/got kicked out because of personal problems, and eventually killed himself. (The worst tragedy of it all, and the one that really matters over any other infighting within the band.)
Kai replaced by Grapov, Kiske by Deris, and Ingo by Uli. Original members left in the band: Weikath and Marcus.
Uli and Grapov eventually left the band, seemingly due to tensions with Weikath, and formed Masterplan.
Currently, the band is on tour with all original members except Ingo, plus new drummer and guitarist, for a total of 7 people on stage.
The only one not looking too happy about the whole thing seems to be Weikath...
The vocalist of this song is Andi Deris.

Great video.Helloween is one of my favorite Metal bands. Seen them twice live, 2013 in London with Gamma Ray and Axxis ant then in 2017 Pumpkins United tour in London as well and it was awesome show. 2 hour and 45 minutes of pure fun and energy. Been a fan since 1987.
Love this album and love Deris on the band, both were extremely important for the reborn of the band.

If you want to listen to some Kiske classics (like I'm Alive that you reacted to) you can try the song "Halloween" (not the videoclip, the complete album version), "I Want Out", "Eagle Fly Free" and "March of Time". For more Deris you can try "Power" and "Before The War". For some old Hansen, "Ride the Sky". If you want to hear the three of them together listen to their latest song (the only one with all of them), "Pumpkins United"!

The singer Andi Deris brought Helloween back to relevance after the Kiske-era band'had fallen apart due to conflicts. I recommend the song "Midnight Sun", one of the best Helloween songs.

The lead singer here is Andi Deris, Michael Kiske is their previous one, he left in 1993. Both are amazing but very different.
Couple of years ago Kiske and their former guitarist Kai Hansen reunited with the current lineup, made a world tour and there were 7 guys on stage - two lead singers and three guitarist, It was the best experience as a Helloween fan and a metal fan in general.
If you enjoy this song, “Ride the Sky”, “Phantoms of death”, “Falling Higher”, “Steel tormentor”, “How many tears” and “Eagle fly free” are sharp fanged outputs as well.
“Keeper of the seven keys” has two parts, so it’s gonna be a long reaction ;)

Helloween are awesome and they have a wide variety of songs - melodic ones, mid tempo, humorous ones, ballads! Oh my god, their ballads! “A tale that wasn’t right” and “Forever and one” are the best ballads you can hear. They are my favorite band and alongside with Blind Guardian and Sabaton (the latter in the more recent years because they are younger), are the edge of the European metal scene at this point. My only purpose is to spread awareness about how awesome they are, so I am very grateful for your attention to them ;) cheers

Me too. I bought this album like over 15 years ago and I was mostly a Kiske fan, but Deris' vocals has grown on me.

My Second album of Helloween. For me is so special, it was part of my High School.
You'll also want to check out Gamma Ray at some point, the band formed by one of the original founding members Kai Hansen after he quit the band in 1988. He sang on the first Helloween EP and album, try Helloween "Ride the Sky".

The singer was actually Andy not Kiske. Andy has been the singer now for at least 20 yrs.
When I hear them by first time, got suprised by Kai Hansen in "The Walls of Jerico" (their first album); but I needed more from Halloween and this is the next album I listened then, and it blown my mind so awaaaaay. I got convinced this was its best alignment: Drums: Uli Kusch; Bass: Markus; Guitars: Michael and Roland; vocals: Mr. Andreas Deris. Try its next 4 albums. Better than raw; Time of The oath; the dark ride; rabbit don't come easy ...

Another band in this vein is savatage, hall of the mountain king, if you do also play prelude to madness they kind of run together but you will love it if you do.

Great reaction. The keeper part 1 album was the first power metal album ever. But the part 2 album is power metal in perfection. I would suggest the songs keeper of the 7 keys or eagle fly free for your next reaction.

There are many Helloween suggestions already. Therefore, I'd like to recommend you a band that you haven't done, yet: STRATOVARIUS
Stratovarius is a band from Finland. They released their debut 1989. Their latest full length album was released 2015. Their sound is a bit different than Helloween, because they replaced the second guitarist by a keyboardist. Their power metal sounds very symphonic.
They began with power metal in the style of Helloween when the began their career. The guitarist and songwriter Timo Tolkki was also the vocalist on their first three albums. They hired a full time vocalist, Timo Kotipelto, who has sung from the fourth album until now.
I like to divide the discography of Stratovarius into three eras: early Stratovarius, classic Stratovarius, post-tolkki Stratovarius. Early Stratovarius sounds more old school while the classic Stratovarius sounds very symphonic. The Post-tolkki Stratovarius is Stratovarius after their main songwriter, Timo Tolkki, left the band.
Early Stratovarius: I recommend you the song The Hands of Time off their second album Twilight Time.
Classic Stratovarius: Try their song Father Time off Episode.
Post-Tolkki Stratovarius: Try their song Halcyon Days off Nemesis.

I think this was the first album Andy Deris sang in after Michael kiske left the band. Great singer but not as strong as kiske. Fortunately Hell🎃ween didn't lose any momentum and kept producing top class albums! Great song but there are much better ones. Helloween are the kings of power metal. I recommend Eagle fly free

I'm probably in the minority here, but I really dislike Andi Deris as their vocalist. He was just too different from Michael Kiske, not to mention nowhere near as good. Musically they were still great, but I lost some interest in them with Deris.
I do not consider this album or this song a masterpiece..Keeper of the seven Keys part 1 and 2 are real masterpieces. Don´t get me wrong, its a good album but not a Masterpiece. Eage fly Free, Keeper of the Seven Keys, Twilight of Gods, Helloween song, those are masterpieces...Good Reaction!1
Helloween is a very different - better - band from 1994 and beyond. Pick any song from Master of the Rings, The Time of the Oath, or The Dark Ride. They are absolutely brilliant. I know old fucks will crave Michael Kiske, but the composition in the 80s was awful. Too experimental and clumsy. In the 90s they went full professional, top notch quality production and recording. Andi Deris may not posses the same vocal range as Kiske, with all the high pich showing off, but his lower notes are deep and dramatic. He is awesome.
