This is a masterpiece. It's also one of my favourite Hell🎃ween albums. I'm looking forward to a lot more of band this month. The song Halloween is an absolute must (the full version)
Roland Grapow got kicked out of the band for this album (along with Uli Kusch). But if you like this song (as I do), then you'd like Roland's subsequent band, Masterplan. Check out the song Black in the Burn.
One of my favorites from Helloween. When they played this song live back then, they would do it as the last song before they left the stage before the encores. The crowd would continue singing that melody the whole time until the band came back to the stage. You can see it the live in Seoul, Korea 2001 clip.
Throw in some Gamma Ray for October too, "Blood Religion" would be a good one for the Halloween Season, or "Empire of the Undead".

I am too think that Andi Deris is the true singer of Helloween. He is awesome. Sounds like a vampire.
Absolutely, he's amazing. For the straight power metal style I see why people love the other singers, but for heavier stuff and ballads, Andi is unmatched and unique. Have you heard one of the newer song Cyanide? Holy crap, he just gets greasier with age. The way he stretches his words and expresses the thoughts is insane
Man if you like And's voice on helloween, you should listen to him when he was younger, because he was a beast! I recommend you "one step into paradise (the live version)" from pink cream 69.
Other songs from helloween I highly recommend are "who is mr madman", "mission motherland (this is more like progressive metal and Andi sings with a beatiful style at a certain point of the song), "midnight sun" and "revelation".
I recently discovered "Take my Tears" from PC69 again. Haven`t heard it for centuries, but it`s still great!

Helloween is actually a progressive metal band. They invented the modern power metal sound, but they are more than that.
Oh yes. You must test. Helloween "laudate dominum". It is a very special song. One of my best.
You have to check out Pumpkins United all three singers from the last 30 years of Helloween got together in 2018 and put together a killer tour, you'll really love it.
Oh, and check out "Sleepless Nights" from Kind diamond.

Gonna watch through again but wanted to say glad you’re checking out Helloween. Andi Deris is the man and as much as I respect and enjoy Kiske as well I think that the sound they achieved with Deris is just exactly what I want out of power metal. They’ve long been my favorite power metal band and it seems they are lesser known than a lot of other metal bands which is a shame because they invented the genre and are just so talented and write such well structured songs.

Amazing song! If you like Andi's voice, I strongly suggest Helloween- "Burning Sun", "Stupid Mankind". I've been lucky to meet Andi several times and It was a blast, what a great, funny and humble man.

Say what you want, but this is the best Helloween album. It's their Chemical Wedding, Horror Show, or Somewhere in time. A whole nother plane to what came before... Or since (except Tyranny of Souls, I guess, that one is on the same level as Chemical Wedding, if not better)
