For me, the ideas in th-cam.com/users/postUgkxAfqpMLyFn37qcqUl0FAzqkkycQeXqrhP Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.
I’ve watched many of your/his videos. This guys knows his stuff. Very smart guy!! Just says “Umm” like a thousand times each video, “umm” is his favorite word. Just saying! Lol!
Great video. What I don’t understand about seems is how you are supposed to nail both ends to one stud. You are only supposed to stay at least 3/4” from the ends, but a stud is only 1.5” wide, so even if you put your seem exactly in the middle of the stud, your nails would be right at the end of the wood. Are you supposed to angle them inward? Still doesn’t leave any room for error.
I far I as understand James Hardie recommends you leave an expansion gap between butt/running joints and these are longer to be 'caulked' but left dry Previously JH did recommend caulking of butt joints but caulking weathered out over time and needed repeat maintenance.
Can some one help? How do you do the finish all the way to the top- too many video showing how to start but never how to do the finish (do you put a trim over ?)
@@NSMConstruction Question, so it's ok to not caulk as long as there's flashing behind, and also if I lower my reveal to 6.5 will that extra half inch lower nail line give the board better holding/ pulling resistance power.

Thanks for the how-to's...there doesn't seem to be many good videos on hardie installations.
