My book, “The Value of Others,” begins and ends with a parable. Many have asked me about the significance of the parable in the epilogue, which relates an episode from the life of Jesus. In applying this parable to sexual relationships, we can understand the importance of using the coin of the realm. Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's. When men pay women in women's currency, and women pay men in men's currency, relationships are ordered and prosperous. I discuss further in this episode. Your analogy about paying men and women in their respective ‘currencies’ is such a simple yet profound concept! It brings to mind the projection bias, where we project our own wants and needs onto others, assuming they'll reciprocate in the same way. I’ve seen someone close to me wrestle with this-thinking their partner should appreciate what they value, rather than tuning into what their partner actually craved. Your insights help make it clear how vital it is to step outside of our own assumptions and recognize the individuality of the other person

I remember as a nurse back in the late 80s doing night duty with a lady then in her late 40s, one always had interesting and frank discussions with people on night duty - the sun going down seems to have that effect. She told me her Mother advised her ‘whenever your husband wants sex give it to him’ I thought that sounded like sensible advice. Now after a long spell looking after my Mother until she died I would like to get married again and I have found this an invaluable channel in getting ‘up to speed’ on relationships again and I shall get the book. Thank you for all you do; and thank you for the video on Letting Go I had never heard it put like that before (letting to with love).
The dating apps are full of women saying they only want a serious relationship and want to "take it slow". They are so oblivious to what men want. It's not even if they don't care. They are too solipsistic & "me me me!" to even realize that in order for them to get what they want in a relationship, they should consider the other person's perspective. A woman saying that she's only looking for a serious relationship after taking it slow is exactly equivalent to a man saying I just want bedroom fun immediately and I don't really care about you as a person.
@@slaytanic921 Sure, but that's not the point. It's that our culture has become so ridiculous that such a dichotomy exists, even on the most superficial of mediums.
And that's fine, we just gotta make sure that we aren't giving more than we're getting. most of the time this will just lead to us coming off as low value and getting rejected, or even worse, exploited.

No problem! If you've got titties you're good! And don't worry about perfection... The primary emotional need for women is to be listened to. The primary emotional need for men is to be appreciated. Well, if you deal with toxic people you can give them as much as they want and whatever they want, they will still be unsatisfied and leave. Another topic for another video, how Orion‘s model described in his book works on toxic people. Regarding this video: think about it like a birthday, don’t buy a present for the birthday kid that YOU would be happy to get, buy a present that the kid would be happy to get.
For the record, the Pharisees were attempting to trap and discredit Jesus. If he had said it was okay to pay taxes, then they would determine that he was putting Ceasar before God. If He had said not to pay taxes, then they would have argued that he was violating the law. It was a catch 22. Jesus, being Jesus, showed them the Way.
The Roman elite hired scholars to write what is known as the Bible. The underlying intent was to control the common people, a component of that was loyalty to Caesar including taxation.
Or... As Joseph Atwill and others have put forward in Caesar's Messiah, the first gospel (Mark's) was written by someone like Josephus on bequest of the Flavians to control and subdue the Jews. That is, the Romans may have created what became Christianity. Hence, "render unto Ceasar", "turn the other cheek" etc are conscious and subconscious acquiesces to Roman rule. The Flavians also saw themselves as the Son of God and wanted to create a divine right for their dynasty to rule.

From prior videos I got the impression you’re not a fan of the 5 Love Languages book, but the coin analogy is basically the premise of that book and the love languages. Coin or language, the idea is to swallow ones pride and practice a little selflessness.
The way I go about it, I give women 90 percent of everything they want. I look great and I have lots to share. I just don’t give them 100 percent because of 2 reasons: once I trap myself with one woman, I lose access to being able to get more. And 2, women who end up locking down men like me tend to become very ungrateful down the line because they know they have the legal system backing them. I could potentially find myself in a loveless, sexless relationship because I decided to give a woman 100 percent. By keeping my options open, I maintain my position to get more, and I also avoid being taken to the cleaners when I woman inevitably becomes unhappy later on. I’m quite happy and as far as I can tell, the women I love are also happy.
In my experience sending cute, affectionate, non sexual texts is the most sure fire way to make her lose interest completely and stop responding altogether.
The book is simply the best book in its segment, I may have not read all books on relationships, I will confidently say, they likely don’t surpass this.
I agree with this for the most part but a big part of the problem... the men willing to pay women with women coin aren't the men they want the coin from.
I know this isn’t the point of your video, Doc- but I do love how you mention that you can’t give something to somebody that you yourself don’t have, then go on to talk about how this group of people delegated rights that they didn’t have (the right to tax) to another group of people. Just ironic. Great lesson!
I believe this is about 50 percent correct, at least from my personal set of preferences. I want both of those coins. In other words, i want my girlfriend to be a good friend who wants to share random moments, jokes, intimate connection, etc... maybe not my best friend in the world, but a good friend... because expecting a woman to totally get me like my best friend is probably expecting too much. And clearly, as a man, i want the sexual chemistry to be through the roof, including attraction from my partner to be strong enough that they voluntarily send nudes, or flirt, wear the new lingerie, etc. The main problem for me is that women tend to be flirty in the beginning of a relationship, but eventually fall off the habit, partiallt because they feel as though they shouldnt have to. And when that happens, is when i tend to stop wanting to share on the friendship level, because the reciprocation balance is off.
This is definitely personal preference. Most men do not want constant and meaningless small talk via text like you do. When Orion gives advice he is speaking to the majorities.
@drwayne_carter9115 it's my experience that the men want nothing but to spend endless hours small talking. I hate it as much as you guys. They never want to leave their home.
Steven, how often should I send pics? I’ve been with my man a year now and I send pics voluntarily like once a week. I’m curious and you seem like a reasonable guy. lol

@@drwayne_carter9115 ' I saw that cloud and I thought of you!' Please... Please, dont.
@@drwayne_carter9115 -- modern men are feminized. They want women as good friends.
@drwayne_carter9115 it's my experience that the men want nothing but to spend endless hours small talking. I hate it as much as you guys. They never want to leave their home.
Steven, how often should I send pics? I’ve been with my man a year now and I send pics voluntarily like once a week. I’m curious and you seem like a reasonable guy. lol
Friday should be “don’t give people what they don’t want. Please🙏
