    Man, what a labor of love. It's a great looking part and the joy on your face when you were done is down right infectious. You can't help but smile seeing that.
    I agree with the other poster, you should incorporate the endcaps for the bumper when you do it. Going to be a challenging mold but it will look really slick.

    Such a great job man! Working on an air box for my eg right now, the box form is done, and I'll be working on the carbon part this next week. I wanted to do the vacuum bag process for it, but I've only seen it done when people use the shiny side. This confirms that the way I wanted to do it, would work. Great job and thanks for the detailed vid.

    This is a perfect easy thing to make for a first project, no needing to make a fibreglass mold and using gel coats, just ally tape, epoxy, plastic board, wax, a vacuum storage and carbon fibre sheets

    if you mist spray alcohol over the epoxy it will get rid of air bubbles and help flatten it out. or you can heat gun.

    when you do the bumper you should incorporate the end caps in the mod and make it all one carbon piece - with some sort of a brushed aluminum insert in the middle

    The cut out's would look awesome if you made some aluminum grill frames that could attach in place of the plastic mesh bit's and fill the open space in with the kind of fancy looking fine mesh stainless steel material you see used in places like velocity stack covers and so on. Incredible the way you complete tasks to finish product. Mad respect, love your content merry Christmas!

    You could buy some small scuttle-to-wing rubbers! They are called gaiters I think, that will fill the gap that you have!

    Not sure if you came up with a solution for the gap to the fenders, but you could always add a little strip of rubber gasket to fill the space

    Great work, have you ever tried to do a hood/ bonnet? Thinking about doing one for my volvo as I can't find the style hood I want. Obviously going to need a much larger vacuum bag, and probably do a front and back and glue them together?

      Thanks dude! Just to make sure I could get a flat enough surface and not have the weave push though. Zero air bubbles with the xcr resin. You can wave a heat gun over it just incase though.

    Yo this reminds me of the stuff I'm doing with my truck as I'm literally doing the same shit. I reckon you should totally should have made a mould of that cowl and made the part from carbon rather than skinning and sanding it multiple times. Only because it looked in good enough condition to make an awesome finished article but you still got an awesome result.

      Yeah it crossed my mind but I knew I could get away with it being slightly oversized.
      Plus it’s a pretty complex part to make for a first time mold 😂.

      @@BuildCreate I believe you could have done it easy, you went as far as vac bag anyways. I’m no composites genius it’s just the surface prep that takes the longest amount of time. All the material costs can be expensive but at least you can make more with a mould plug.

    Sir I got a question can tell me pls which coil-overs did u use in the front?? I got brat 1981 and I would like to lower it!! But it to difficult to fined something to lower it!!

      Hey man. They are 92-00 civic coilovers. You’ll need a 2mm shim for the bottom of the shock to fit into the knuckle and make an adapter plate (6mm aluminium) for the top.

    Whats your wet sanding process like post 2k clear? Ive always done 1k, 1k wet, 2k wet, 3k wet, buff, polish.

      Usually it’s 1500 wet, 2000 wet, 3000 (trizact) wet, rotary heavy cut, DA heavy cut and then polish with the DA again.

      @@BuildCreate I'm doing the same process as you right now only I have forgot to use the breather material inside the bag so hopefully I haven't fused the peel ply to the epoxy on my panel!! 😂

      @@psycho3344 the peel ply will come off. The breather/bleeder is used to absorb excess resin 🤙🏻
