This is great. I was worried about having to replace this part but your video really helped make it easy and added some tips I didn't know about. Thanks!!

I've watched this video like 5 times already in anticipation of my new thermistor getting here next week. Of all the videos I tried, this one is the best. I don't feel so nervous about doing the replacement now. Thanks bro.

Awesome video, two questions for you.
    1. Where did the adapter for the thermistor come from? Around 22sec green / blue that you hooked up your meter?
    2. Where did you get the wire loom tool?

It's just male to male dupont headers, generic stuff; any old wire will do the job, or you can directly probe the metal tabs on the back of the thermistor header.

Wiha makes the red tipped, and Wera makes the green/teal. 👍🏻

Glue Stick is waterbased. Try washing it off with water instead of alcohol. Works best for me at least. After that you can clean the surface with alcohol to get rid of fats and oils that you get on there by touching it.

What is the gauge of the wires that had the kinks in them? I need to buy some but am not sure what to buy.

OutWithSibs it’s EU standard so it’s specified as 1.5mm^2 of Cu; I recall doing the math and 14-16AWG should do the job, but beware most of the speaker wire out there has super fat insulation. I have the “good stuff” imported from TME which is the same cable Prusa uses if you just need a short length, hit me up. la3dpr.com

Lee Olivares Thanks for the reply, useful information except I’m not too familiar with AWG (I live in the uk). I ended up ordering a 12 gauge silicone wire from amazon after watching a video from Thomas on TH-cam. I literally only need it to replace the wire to my heatbed because like yours it has loads of kinks! :-(

Could you post a link to the file of your textile sleeve tool? The sleeve is definitely a struggle.

I've been meaning to code one up in OpenSCAD, and since you asked I did: www.prusaprinters.org/prints/35096-cloth-harness-installation-tool-scad
