- This is a step-by-step Modeling tutorial of a Vintage Pocket Watch in Maya. This video is a part of creating an object using Maya and Substance Painter. In this series, I am showing the entire pipeline in detail Modeling-Unwrapping-Texturing-Rendering in 4 videos. If you go through the entire series I am quite sure that you will be able to make a 3D object and your understanding will be strong. Only I am assuming you know the basic interface of Maya.
Queries solved in the video:
1. How to model a Vintage Watch in Maya?
2. Learn Maya basic Modeling
3. How to model a Machine in Maya?
You can get the reference image at this link.

Hi Sima, thanks for your concern and feedback. Meanwhile I was bit busy with my ongoing projects so couldn't concentrate creating contents. But all of your comments motivated me to create more. So definitely I will come back with new contents very soon. 🙂
@@Trimitkala thanks for the reply....best wishes for your projects.👍I'll wait for next tutorials
I am okay until the part where the face of the small cylinder is extruded. My extrude box menu disappears and I can't add the divisions. If I go to the menu in any other way the divisions that are all clumped together and do not look like yours. how can I get the extrusion menu box back up after pulling out to faces?
better than my class to be honest 🤣
12:58 I don’t ubderstand how you make the cylinder return to it’s original form (it’s not affected by the deform anymore)
love it
Thank you very much🙂.
I tried to apply polyRetopo; but then it changed to blue color. can someone help me
dude i cant see refine threshold or reduce threshold in the remesh menu. but i can see collapse threshold ???? Help me bro
can i ask the reason that after using 'polyRetopo ;' breaks my polymodel? , it makes models are like piece of sticky gums ;(
Question if someone could answer this for me, but why not just use a sphere and squash it down? is there a specific reason for making a cube and using the smooth tool?
A sphere has triangles on the top, which can cause problems when smoothing it
@@ankurjoshi4154 thanks! I actually figured this out after learning more about topology. Thanks anyway for answering!
