  • so the other day I found some new cutoff wheels, and then a new arbor to mount them on to run them in a drill press for cutting nail nicks in slipjoint pocketknife folders. cutting the nail nicks in after heat treat and once you have all the parts together really cuts down on mistakes during assembly, as well as stress risers in heat treated blades compared to cutting them in before heat treat. caltoncutlery.com

    That’s exactly how I do mine. Most likely learned the trick from you a while back. That double blade is really nice. Even down to the shield emblem 👍👊

      those nail nicks i have been seeing on your recent folders have been awesome!! that newest double blade is really growing on me. i think ill round off the ends a bit more on the next couple and thats about it. after carrying it a couple days there just isnt alot id like to change. the blades rub each other a bit, but thats a small sacrifice for the thinness of the whole package. and the scales could be more contoured, but then again that would make it thicker.
