"Four Ghosts in Hamlet" by Fritz Leiber

This novelette of Leiber's is a bit more straightforward ghost story, tho a very well told one as can be expected. Its wit and its detailed portrayal of theatrical life remind of Reggie Oliver's fiction.

This surprised me as touching and oddly sweet story. I'd have to agree with the comment about Leiber's versatility too.
