Great video! Thanks for posting this. I am a new Bushveld II owner. Have you had any luck on an air mattress that would still allow the tent to fold?
This tent is a bit more unforgiving than my 23Zero
Not yet, Hest is suppose to have options. I need to look into that soon.
@@WickedOverland I recently grabbed a Exped Megamat Duo and if I deflate thin enough, the tent closes nicely.
@@Rjbalver good to know! That’s awesome. I’ll check them out
That’s an interesting annex. I just ordered a Naturnest for overland camping on my channel, and noticed that your tent seems very similar. I’m curious if this annex might work on it. Which model of tent is yours?
This is an Overland Vehicle Systems Bushveld II tent
It is what @rjbalver said it’s a bushveld ll. The larger version of the two of this style.
Same! Looking for any annex that would attach to the tent as well
Is this the 4 person tent on top of a tacoma? How did it go adding a floor? I'm considering this tent but the lack of floor is kind of disappointing. Would like to use it to sleep dogs and maybe a person on a cot.
Putting the floor on was a big pain in the butt and honestly ended up failing in the end. I think it could be done with a different material putting the snaps in was tedious, but it worked. Our biggest regret is the floor not being part of the annex.
@@WickedOverland Thanks for the info and that is exactly my concern. Looks like Tuff Stuff and Ikamper are the main options for an annex that has a floor.
How are you liking the bushveld? Any pros and cons changes since you got it? Would you still get the same tent today if you had to do it again? Sorry for a million questions. I’m in the market for a rtt trying to get some feedback back on this one.
I still love it. It’s a great tent. The only con that I have is the mattress is very firm. We’re in the process of finding an alternate solution for it. We did have a pool break, but I believe it was due to it being caught on the fabric I was able to fix it fairly easily, and the company has been amazing to work with for any other small details, but it has held up four seasons of camping. The second con I have is the annex for the tent has no floor, which is a pain in the butt when you have dogs or Sandy or muddy area camping otherwise there’s nothing wrong with the tent. It works great, even though I’ll switch up tent this year, I would buy it again
@@WickedOverland thanks for that! The Bushveld 2 is definitely on a short list!
