- I’ve owned my iKamper Skycamp Mini 3.0 for close to 12 months now, having spent 18 nights across many different trips, I thought it would be helpful to share my top 10 (actually 11!) hacks, mods, tips and tricks that I’ve come across to make each and every night in the iKamper just that little bit easier, warmer and more comfortable. So here they are!

Excellent video! Great tips!
Thanks for sharing - really great tips. Best wishes from Colorado.
Thank you for sharing the link in the iKamper forum!
great informational video mate
great video man
Awesome and my thanks for your tips.
Thanks for great tips. The attachments/rings you used for your cargo net are actually for attaching the insulation tent, which in itself is a great piece of kit and definitely worth the money
This was awesome.
Great stuff!
Incredible video! Just purchased my Skycamp mini 3.0 and pick it up in a week. All these modifications are well thought out. Thank you for taking the time to make a video on these mods and for so nearly listing the links in the description. Will definitely buy from the links you provided. You deserve all the added revenue mate. Subscribed 🤙🏼
That is so incredibly kind of you to say. Thank you so much! I wish you many many happy nights in your iKamper!
Great tips just purchased a new mini 3.0 well pleased with it! Thanks

very good tips
Nice tips and tricks....im just looking to replace my Tentbox with the iKamper so this info is fantastic.
The iKamper is the only RTT I’ve owned, but I’m incredibly happy with it. And I bought it new, so paid top whack, and would happily do it again if I could go back and had to make the decision again
Thank you!
Thanks for these, spooky timing as I had four AirTags turn up today, two of which are for my iKamper being fitted next week 🙏
Great news, it's such a simple way to get some form of tracking into the tent. Definitely worth looking at the speaker mod
@@MichaelYarde removed the speakers when I buried some in my discovery and on my Thruxton - well worth the 2mins it takes to remove 🤓👍
Just bought a Skycamp 2.0, I love the suction cup anchors for the window fly. I was wondering how I could make that work and you’ve given me a great option.
Enjoy many happy nights out ahead! Glad I could help
Great tips! I plan on using every one. Except the shoe rack. Too pricey in the states. Thanks
Totally understandable. I was gutted when I couldn’t find an equivalent product for my American viewers 🥲
Great video. Do you have a video of the slides /frames your fridge is nestled into? Those look like they could be the simple modular solution I’m looking for!
Thanks for the lovely comment! I do indeed, it shouldn't be too far back onto my channel. I made them myself, but the video covers everything and how they're packed :)
Awesome vid will definitely follow links to some mods. Question as to how u set the ladder up in this vid. My tent is setup same as yours on the tub of ute. I am unable to get the correct angle when they are locked in. I noticed you had one at the top half way not locked. When you climb up does it put pressure on the tent hinges or have you managed to lock it no halfway somehow
Thanks
The halfway lock just seems to be how my ladder locks? I get your pain though, because it’s quite often the truck is either just too tall or just too short for the perfect ladder angle. So I always choose to go too tall, so that that’s no pressure on the hinge
Hey mate, thanks for this. Can you please tell me, how's your carpet secured to the tent floor? Cheers
I just used some double sided carpet tape. I’ve seen some people use spray adhesive, but that sounded way too messy for my liking. This carpet tape has been solid as a rock and hasn’t budged at all, so if I was to do it again, I’d do it the same way, 100% 👍🏻
Do you need to level inclinometer somehow ? I noticed that in your car is not in perfect angle of horizontal line.
You can essential calibrate what "level" means. I mounted the inclinometer, then levelled the tent / car the "old fashioned way" then calibrated the inclinometer to accept the value when the tent is level as zero. I can't remember the specific settings on how to do it, but it's all covered in the instructions :)
@@MichaelYardeThanks. I asked because I do not have anywhere in the car any flat surface so it will never show the correct value. Also, the back of the car is a bit higher to the front.
Im asking for inclinometer to be used in general offroading to know how bad is your position or how far to the angle limit etc
@@marcing4287 Yeah, it could definitely do that. Mount it where you want it, park the car as flat as you can, then calibrate that as flat. Then that way, the inclinometer will show the relative angle
Hi mate, can you link or give me more info on the rear bed rack you have attached your tent box to? Thanks
Hi mate,
My roller shutter is a MountainTop Roll, and that’s got the slots in to attach the rack too. Then the rack is Frontrunner, using LASS028 legs and then the frontrunner slats. It comes as a kit from Frontrunner. If you don’t have a roller shutter, there’s a different kit from Frontrunner, but I don’t know the specifics as it wasn’t relevant to me. Hope that helps 😊
Massive help, thanks. I’m trying to find some sort of bars so the tent box would sit flush with my cab roof - know of any U.K. suppliers? Also just bought most of the reviewed items, thanks for tips!
@@TheSampurkiss you can buy the frontrunner slats separately from most frontrunner dealers, Dara at Tuff Trek is very knowledgable, so might be worth an email to him 👍🏻
Any matters with the Matt er ess?
As in any downsides? The only real negative is cost. The official iKamper mattress is quite expensive, but it is excellent
👍
This is the 3.0 MINI right? Not the full 3.0?
Correct. iKamper Skycamp Mini 3.0
