You guys do amazing work, I'm looking forward to doing my basement apartment with some of the ideas you used. The black wall idea was excellent. The speakers in the ceiling was best. I really love your channel. Clear cut instructions was so important, which means, you do not mind if any of it is used. Thank you so much. My basement will be completed in the next three weeks, and then, the added features will really complete it thanks to you.
Even if it was a different sectional, I think a sectional sofa functioned better in the space, considering it's supposed to be a place where a bunch of people are going to gather. Other than that, the makeover is amazing!

its good enuf for my 22 year old gamer son n his friends. Not sure why the room looks low budget. Maybe its just me. Tho. But my son wuld friggin love this college freshman room. Sectional wuld work better. Gamers spend hours gotta have more comfort.

Definitely should have routed a groove in the plywood to inset those LED strips. Looks messy and like and after thought.

I thought the same thing. I was hoping it would have been completed in the final reveal. Also, I wanted a trim around the plywood on the ceiling.

I was scared about the plywood at first because it's usually not seen as an upscale material to use. However, using the mid mod design...it works! Great job!
I love it how the clients also do some of the work and work with her but in other home reno shows, they leave the house for a week
It looks great but the only issue I have with it is the bar and entertainment center look too unfinished. I think they needed to put edge banding on the exposed ends of the plywood.

This by far my favourite episode. I love the plywood and how you made it look sophisticated when normally its used in a way that its hidden. It brightened the space and made it look so mature and sophisticated and its something that actually attainable! So amazing !
Concerned that the machines won't be able to breathe. Would need to put holes on the sides of the box. maybe pegboard? maybe install computer fans to move the air?

i love everything BUT the raw plywood. it looks so unfinished and cheap. a tiny bit of staining would make it so much better.

Oh my god, me TOO. Staining wood only takes a second and it would have make it look so much better, or at least edge banding on the raw edges, would make it look less workshop-like.
They never finish any of the wood projects on this show even after staining. My guess is that it takes too long. I hope they tell the homeowners what to do to protect the work.

I completely agree. Unfinished wood should at least be sealed, that bar will be multicolored in no time from the spilling of the drinks. The wood should at least have been sealed!! And raw wood furniture? Looks incredibly cheap.

Monica if the bar gets wet will it be ok? I noticed you didn't put a sealant on the wood but I'm not handy please share. I keep thinking people's handprints will be every where on that wood. Visually looks nice.

I did watch all of the "wall guy" lowes videos. Yes also good but a bit more going on visually than I'm thinking for my space that this plywood install is closer to. But his built in shelf video is something I want to do in my office! But not in a major color.

I love all the plywood projects but don’t like the rug or furniture choices at all. Usually I’m all in but it’s eh. Maybe the whole budget went to wood.

yeah i would've chosen something with straighter lines, to sort of mimic the lines on the wall. i did REALLY like the black stools she chose...they worked perfectly with the shapes in the bar!

Wow. The Bluetooth speaker was awesome. The bar area and again bold colour black. The wooden walls with routing so much innovation. This shows that interior design is not restricted to just right sofas or curtains its much more and a combination of all that.

Amazing how well the plywood worked with everything! I think I would have tried to hide the gaming lights a little more. I think LED looks best when you see the soft glow instead of each individual diode and the strip. Great job!

love all the transformations. I'm fortunate to come over one of the videos and then i binged watched it all.
I really liked the look of that gaming cabinet - it has a retro 70s feel and it seems quite do-able.
Very cool, nice job! They can also paint the plywood later if they want to add a color in the room, but it looks so simple, the style has an industrial touch to it yet cool and cozy to entertain. Now I need the husband to see it and be inspired to decorate and fix up our space.

I like it. Monica had me on the edge with this one bc when she only had 🗣one paint color I was getting nervous, and no stain?!! ; at 15 minutes I thought I would hate it but I must say I just like it. I don't love it as usual. But those speakers 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 that was so so cool. 😂😂 and if that is how the homeowner dances, um no!!! I can't dance either so I know when you are in the club and the brother is in the I can't dance category 😂😂
