I be jamming to your music overlay choices Brad😂
Each Cybertruck is an unforgettable eye catching mobile billboard for Tesla.
Yep, they are so Musk-like 😊
And any company that puts their branding on the side and hood.
Love the opening!
Yea, just happen to catch the birds in formation. I thought it would be a good openning.
First sign of any life on the river! Great capture Brad !!!!!!
@@lesterhousel plenty of life on the river. There even deer in the area. Loads of cliff swallows that buzz the drone too.
Brad that opening shot was cool 😎
Thanks Brad
0:38. Southend. Glazing installation halted. Framing materials on the roof, likely for the parapet.
1:23. Southend, west. Retaining wall opening. 2 white dots in or across the opening. Surveyors flags perhaps.
1:30. GA, apron. Trailer with a rack of what appears to be battery pack tops or bottoms. Another being loaded on the forklift.
Possibly shifting to another location within the factory.
2:01. Southend. Inside. West trench. Concrete truck. Same square of formwork as seen in the central and east trenches.
2:37. Southend, east. Top. Screw pile to the left of the small excavator has been cut-off at ground level.
4:23. River Road. Eastward extension. Lot of earth to be shifted here to maintain a similar grade between each end of a road. Plus whatever remedial works are required through the old quarry.
7:16. Westside Tunnel Project. Clear view into the cutterhead. Some components/access panels removed.
11:35. Far north. Landscape Contractors yard. Trench either side of the tree. Seems they may be temporarily planting a bunch of trees here. Live tree storage yard.
That's a ton of Cybertrucks getting shipped out. I would generally expect about a 5:1 ratio, assuming they're doing about 5K/week of Model Y and 1K/week of Cybertruck right now, but I would also expect it to be a bit uneven with Cybertrucks sometimes coming in bursts like we see today.
I really dont think 1000 cybertruck per week yet. maybe 650
@@jm100368 That may be. They said they're doing 1000 battery packs per week, so that would likely be the upper end right now. But unless someone set up a camera recording all the car carriers leaving the site and adding up the numbers, it's all speculation on our part. I don't think they have any significant indoor storage, but we did see a ton of them just south of the Superchargers previously that are mostly gone, so that explains many of them in the outbound lot.
Cheers as always mate.
Thanks for staying on the ducks for the opening shot.
Not ducks, I think they were Cornerants but not for sure.
Thank you!
nicely done, i enjoy the tunes…..
Nice opening shot, Brad!
That’s a lot of Cybertrucks!
Thanks Brad
There are so many people who never heard of Tesla or an EV after all these years. Believe it or not. The cybertruck is reaching out to those people. You look at a model S or Y or 3 and I bet many just thought they were regular gas powered cars. But not a cybertruck. People will ask questions about it and find out its an EV and made by a company called Tesla. It will draw people in to look at their other cars. Tesla raised their prices all over the world recently. Is the popularity gaining traction because of the cybertruck? Maybe
Merci👍👍👍
Although details make all the difference, I find your shots of the peripheries to be more insightful and entertaining.
sunday on saturday. All the hurry up push is gone.
Hey Brad, did you see my cybertruck? ;)
Thanks!
Thank you for supporting this channel.
thanks brad
Dec 16th order and still no VIN, hope one is mine!!
I love that 13:40 they are building a nice second story deck and fire pit out on the east side. 😂
Those little birds are down in formation over the river to stay away from the predators/hunters up top, and appear more formidable as a group below .
Seems Cybertrucks dominate waiting, rather than shipping.
This just about 10min. out of a whole day. Could be a lot of car carriers arrived later in the day.
I take screen shots to see how much movement there is of the parked trucks from day to day. It’s surprising how few are actually staying where you see them longer than a day. They really are moving most of them.
Thanks so much for sharing. I'd hoped they were being sent out, but didn't really know. @@stevegolubic6399
I'd love to see what is North of the 2 precast buildings at the north end of the campus. Been searching for a video but haven't been able to find one.
Look at the end of the Hustle and Bustle video.
Ramping up Cybertruck production is obviously going strong. Sooner or later the new compact, which according to Elon, is also developing full speed inside the factory, will be seen driving in and out of Giga Texas. I believe that will only happen after Elon has presented the design and 3 prototypes of the car to the world himself. That would be the free advertisment of the year. Wonder whats holding Tesla back, from putting the pedal to the metal? Any thoughts anyone? Millions of drivers on the small and narrow european roads, being in the 25K$ segment, are waiting patiently, holding our breath right now, and thats obviously not for the cyber.😎 Per in Denmark🇩🇰
Cool intro!
My bet is they start drilling for the tunnel on Monday…
Hopefully.
you know what's wrong with the west lot ? Lots of vehicles queued up and charging, but 7 days from the end of the quarter , Saturday with good weather and there aren't haulers backed up loading cars to delivery locally. Forget anything going by rail, that would never produce revenue before about mid to late April at this point. Tuesday is about the last day they can put something on a truck that gets delivered out of state to get it in someone's hands and book revenue. 1Q is likely to be weak, but vehicle movement in the states seems to have been pretty decent from GTX at least, maybe they've thrown in the towel on 1Q24 and are totally focused on 2Q24 and hoping interest rate drop happens in quarter to kickstart some activity. (Nothing wrong with your video btw Brad, great quality all the way around)
If you live from quarter to quarter, that would be true.
Cybertruck buyers should have the option to pickup their Cybertruck at Giga Texas and the destination fee removed. The same for MY.
Wow...around 3X more CTs than Ys in outgoing lot, never seen anything close to it.
Yeah. They were backed up for some reason for a while.
@@jbbuzzable Difficult to get good numbers but might they be producing around 200/day? (aprox. 4680 production)
Driver at 10:43 looks tired? :D
I think bored might be the word…
Thanks Brad!
River road to Robotic Ave extension:
@ 4:25 Looking west. Speculating that this will be completed before the parking garage opens. At least I hope it is.
Bess substation:
@ 12:35 (Bottom left) Switches remain open to backup power feeds.
Megapacks...
Caution tape closing off the north west corner of the yard and 4 megapacks. Cabinet doors are open on one of the transformers.
Eastside of casting:
@ 14:04 (Bottom left, south of the stairs) 16 conduits sticking out of embankment... are the remains of the old main power duct-bank from the temporary substation. All of the power for the building, as well as power going out to the east parking lot Superchargers used to go through these conduits.
Also, by the building.... Old Supercharger power vault, now likely abandoned, fenced off. The active vaults are the 3 vaults just to the south.... Main power, main power, and the new Supercharger vault.
Some have predicted this project was gloom and doom from the outset, while I have always been optimistic. Who has been most correct?
@@jbbuzzable Have they been successful in producing cars? Yes. However, it is my opinion that the project is run by bungling idiots. Especially when compared with Berlin. Just look at the multi-million dollar tunnel that has gone nowhere. Even when completed, what value does it have other than promoting the Boring company?
Again, compare to Berlin and the place looks like a pig pen.
@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn And the gloom and doom continues.
@@jbbuzzable Sorry, I'm not a Musk or Tesla fan. I don't see things the way you do. I'm just here for basically one thing... Construction.
@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn And who or what made the construction possible?
I count 335 cybertrucks on the property which raises ther question>>WHY?
Tesla dont get paid with these trucks sitting here most of these should be
on the road heading towards their new owners. I dont get it.
!
It's a different 300 each day.
@@MinusEighty Does anyone have a good estimate of Cybertruck production numbers? Last week they produced enough 4680s at GigaTexas for 1000 trucks so for 300 trucks a day they'd also need to be getting just as many cells from Kato Rd per week and/or whatever remaining inventory they have from before cybertruck went into production.
There’s reports people are passing on the foundation model. Need enough time to go through the waiting list and give people a chance to configure or pass. No taker means you don’t know where to ship so it sits in Texas.
Part of this is simply ramping challenges. Very similar to the Model 3 early challenges when Tesla was scrambling to hire staff and obtaining car carriers with the sudden influx of new vehicles. I suspect with the faster ramp up than expected they haven't got up with what it takes to move Cybertrucks out. Probably another couple of months to address this. A good problem to have.
I kept wondering what this place was. I'm so out dated or I just don't know anything about you. I'm sorry now. I know the factory😅
If Tesla sells 1,000 CTs in Q1 that will relate to $100 Million in revenue that was not there in 2023 Q4. Hope Tesla show CT units sold as a separate line time so we can track the ramp up.
Do you thing Tesla will sell more than Hummer in Q1?
In my opinion it really doesn't matter as it is a meaningless comparison.
Do you think GM will want to lose more money in Q1?
Sigh. Another day of the tunnel boring machine not going anywhere.
They are not “behind schedule” with the tunnel. They know when they need to complete it by to keep south factory on-time. Worry not.
At least it's rotating...shouldn't be long now. Just put it in "Drive" instead of just idling in "Neutral"! :)
Great timing Brad, to be the first to catch it rotating = makes the Saturday efforts worthwhile.
Our supply of people with more money than sense is huge, but not big enough to rescue the Cybertruck. How's the production outlook for Tesla semis? According to mendacious Musk, fleets of autonomous Tesla semis are already supposed to have beat the cost of rail freight.
Thanks!
