- Cybertrucks are really stacking up on the west side due to a issue with part.
Prufrock still drilling under the highway. Conduit is being laid down just south of the switchyard. More glass going up on the south end extension.

Texans Don’t buy kids toys.
Texans always talk about American made until Teslas are the topic. Funny how that works.
If Fred Sanford owned a car plant this is what I think it would look like.
This will go the way of the Delorean… flash in the pan
@Phvkyu I’m talking about the toy pretend truck…. it’s not sustainable regarding long term sales… just watch…
@Phvkyu I have no problem with EVs… it’s the ass wipe people who drive them…
great Scott you’re right Marty.
@Phvkyu This isn't renewable energy, just a different form of burning/using fossil fuels. A much more inefficient way.
It looks more like a futuristic car than a utility truck. For people that actually need a truck the Ford F150 Lightning is cheaper and more like a truck.
Calling local scrapyards for highest return on stainless.....rusty stainless
It's a low grade [304] SS, similar to DeLorean used, it also had corrosion issues. It's quite costly to repair.
Edsel Ford has a new partner in stupidity.
Class action CT lawsuit. How could such dangerous flaws be allowed for sale.
Tech bro hipsters don't give AF. They just want bragging rights over their jealous neighbors and coworkers.
Great video. Can I just pick up my cybertrucks from the factory?
Come on Tesla! We could just pick them up as they come off the assembly line!
Chevy lets buyers pick up Corvettes at the factory, you still have to pay the destination fee and you actually pick it up at the corvette museum down the street but it’s pretty cool.
Thanks Brad
0:31. New EOL Transport Yard. 2 enclosures, green and grey, either side of the lighting tower. 2:21 also.
0:43. New EOL Supercharger station. To the right of the electrical enclosures. New circular footing (likely for lighting), another footing or road box beside.
Same at 0:41 and 0:46, less obvious.
1:59. New EOL west, parking lot. Setting up the temporary comms towers.
5:04. Westside. Tunnel Project. Generator trailer moving out. Green transformer enclosure seen installed in Airwave Dynamics 8 April video.
5:14. Westside. Tunnel Project. Grout batching plant. Delivery of cement perhaps.
5:28. Westside. Tunnel Project. Spoils bin. To the right of the excavator. Pile of dryer earth to be mixed with the spoil in the bin to make it easier to remove.
6:40. Westside, storage. Right. Trailer with a couple of beefed up columns with an additional plate welded flange to flange half the length of the column. Same again on the trailer hauled by the yard-dog. Beefed up columns being installed at 10:56.
7:59. Southend. Roof. Packs of insulation boards.
8:22. River Road, east extension. First trench.
Southend. New structure. North columns. Embedded plates visible towards the top at about ¾ height. East and west faces. More noticeable on the bare rebar columns, visible on the completed columns also once you know where to look.
8:37. Southend. Un-built section. Second yellow crawler crane.
10:27. Stamping. Apron. Coils of metal on the trailers waiting to back into Stamping. Speculating that the new structure to the left is a bridge crane to be used for quickly unloading these trailers. Some specialist forklift to then take the coils inside.
10:40. Southend, inside. Retaining walls being constructed along the second column row.
More retaining walls bottom right at 10:50.
11:42. Southend, west diagonal corner. Large dump truck leaving empty. Earth being spread around inside at 11:58. Another load at 12:08. Backfilling behind the perimeter retaining walls begins. Reminder that these retaining walls are 5’ 1.5m above the finished floor level of the main building.
12:29. Tesla Road, west. Sidewalk/footpath construction.
12:54. Westside. New north-south. Asphalt paving works almost to Tesla Road.
14:25. Battery, north. Apron. Steel stair flights and handrails.
15:02. Casting, east. Apron. Screw piles. Compacting around the screw piles with a wacker.
15:13. BIW, apron. Left. Conduits under easement trimmed to length.
15:17. Tesla Road, east. Stormwater drain excavation works has commenced.
15:53. Cathode, west. Apron. Destination chargers being installed. As noted by @Gig0Surf in comments under Joe’s video yesterday.
17:22. Temporary switchyard location. Cracking ahead with the ductbank construction.
15:13 That was the old main power duct-bank from the temporary substation. Single duct-bank with 16 conduits. They seem to be preserving those conduits. Neatly trimming them off, rather than breaking them off and covering them with dirt. Possible future use without having to bore under the road?
Note: The 16 conduits were only under the road. Two of which were used to supply power out from the building to the Superchargers. If I remember correctly, there were actually only 6 conduits from the substation. Rather inadequate compared to what they have today... 16 conduits (8 in each duct-bank X 2), plus the new duct-banks being constructed... 24 conduits (12 x 2)!
For anyone interested.... The original duct-bank under construction can be seen in Randy's old videos...
3/30/21 at the 4: 49 timestamp.
3/29/21 at the 5: 18 timestamp.
17:22 If you look at Joe's video 9/11/23 at the 19: 37 timestamp. Right now, they are using only 2 of the 4 extra duct-banks that were made available for future expansion!
5:02 looks like the generator trailer is being removed. Suggests they are switching to mains power supply. TBM appears to be stopped for backup installation. 2 sets of rings still ready at the portal for installation. Likely these are to load up the segment magazine ready for the restart.
5:24. Top left. Stacks of segments that seem to have the gasket at least loosely attached. Do they prep these days or weeks ahead. Give the lads something to do when things are quiet?
@@DessieDoolan On a job this size it would be a fulltime job for one person, or possibly 2. Takes maybe an hour per ring to prep. Glue in the gaskets, glue on the 3mm-5mm plywood packers on the circle joint. Add the locator bars to the radial joint. Maybe also a hydrophilic strip to add just outside the gasket. There are a number of different ways of doing all this depending on the segment design. Large modern segments will have the gasket cast into them at the precast factory (better QC). If using the glue method (seems they are doing this here), the glue needs 24 hours at least to cure. It's also what I call a "hospital" job, that a couple of workers can fall back on when there is a delay or breakdown elsewhere on the project stopping production. I think we can see that they are getting on with some of this segment "dressing" work with the segments they have on site while they prepare for the backup decks being installed.
All of this prep could be done at the casting yard, or off site, of course, especially where the space on site is very restricted and you only have space for a day or twos production of segments stored on site (Most urban TBM sites). I have worked on sites where there is effectively no room for storage and the segments were taken directly underground as they arrived on site, and another where 4/5 sets were stored for nightshift at the shaft bottom, as the site had to be surface silent at night with the shaft top closed.
go to google maps and look at the workers parking lot, not an electric car in there.

Because Tesla pays shit. Who can afford to live on $35,000 a year in Austin, let alone buy one of their overpriced golf carts.

Thank you!
Thanks Brad
Thanks as always, now we can count and actually knows its weekly production rate, except it’s too many to count 😂
Need that building extension going 24/7.
Glad the stacking is just a part issue, and not a Ford-like QC issue...

Looks like cubertruck production has slowed adn Model Y has stopped. Not good for Q2 numbers.Maybe with all the people leaving they can't make cars anymore?
i wonder if those are foundation series, and when Tesla start to ship out reservation series??
They’re all foundation series. No talk of non-foundation series as of yet.
Keep in mind any talk Musk had about a lower-priced model came with the typical Musk ability to reverse himself later when it is proven they can't pull it off. I'm still waiting for that $25,000 family car.
Nice video Brad.
I did not see appreciable reduction in employee cars in the lot. Does it mean that production people did not get hit with 10% RIF?
all the people I saw interviewed on local media mentioned they worked second shift on the model y line, if they were a representative sample of all layoffs then you wouldn’t notice a difference on the daytime flyovers, and might also help explain why there are fewer model y on the outbound lot.
@@Frank-gt7me Thank you. This would indicate a softening of demand for MY, especially in the US. Hopefully the refreshed MY will come soon to spur demand.
I counted 1000+/- ....that's not all that many yet....hopefully they can start moving them soon.
Your showing about 400 trucks if I remember there were 400000 pre orders
You mean "400,000 jokesters who put down a tiny refundable deposit to claim they are buying a car they were never serious about buying." I doubt Tesla is converting even 1% of those to actual deliverable orders.
I saw bright silver model 3’s. What?

I love Tesla, but my buddy got an f150 lightning and based on looks, I’d take that over the cyber truck. Still a huge fan of Eli.
I was planning on the Lightning being my next car until the prices went up and up. Also, dealers were adding all sorts of extra fees to screw with buyers. No thanks.
@@texaswunderkind my buddy got his around January or February right around the time that the lightning really started shipping out. Dealers are probably milking it because they know people want it. How much extra in fees?

and those huge transport trucks, are they electric?
No.

The music in fantastic.
I wonder if Tesla is on its way to going out of business?
I have no idea, but I have always felt that Musk's insistence on pushing fully-autonomous driving is begging for a huge company-killing class-action lawsuit. Every person who has ever been injured by a self-driving Tesla would be lined up for $$$ and every ambulance-chasing attorney would be frothing at the mouth to take the case at 50% fees.
Are those all quicksilver model Ys? When will they be available in the US???
Rust buckets!
What happening inside Tesla too many people lose job or quit
Mismanagement by Musk yet again. I just read _Power Play: Tesla, Elon Musk, and the Bet of the Century_ by Tim Higgins. Musk is great at inspiring people, but his business management skills are subpar at best. He changes designs over and over, causing expensive redesigns and configuration changes, fires people on a whim, and demands endless overtime. In the end he gets it done, but those mood swings cost the company millions.
Both
Rumors for a data center in the South addition. I think that would be the dumbest thing ever.
I finally agree with you, though probably for different reasons! Supposedly Musk canceled the affordable $25.000 EV in favor of a data center for robo taxis. Another slap in the face of his customers.... Cancel a cheap vehicle, then have them own NOTHING and pay him for every ride! Somehow, I don't think that will go over well.
I hear they plan to install a large NVDA sign for advertising revenue and to offset some cost. :)
Another question to answer, what advantage is the 4680 battery to the customer? Faster charging? Longer range? None of the above?
@@BTSloan70 Brad, that's an excellent question that should be asked. Because the downside is that if anything goes wrong with the 4680 battery pack after it is out of warranty. The customer is out of luck. The battery pack is unserviceable! $10,000 to $15,000 for a new battery pack!
@@BTSloan70it's just the size of the battery. It makes easier for them to pack in the battery pack. With less cells

You have to wonder why all the CT's are not being shipped??
It sounds like there is an issue with the accelerator pad.
iI hear Tesla has identified a problem with the throttling system they need to handle before they ship. Easier to fix at the factory than waiting till they are all over the country..
I just want to pick mine up at the factory.
Seems silly to ship them.
If they didn't listen to Sandy and cheap out, there wouldn't just be a clip holding the pedal cover on.
@@TroySavary LOL!
Number one selling car on the planet, Tesla model Y!!! As well as overall Tesla sales and market share gains.
In 2023. Things have been slumping lately, and Tesla is offering price cuts to try to incentivize because in 2024 sales are sluggish.
Appears that some enthusiastic EV nerd overestimated the demand for those turd boxes.
Nope, throttle pedal had a recall. There was a case where the front cover slipped and got caught behind a overhang cause the petal to stay full throttle.
Not selling ?...
Huge recall
Yeah I got laid off at GIGA thank God I’m out of that shit hole 🕳️
The battery switch over cost another several months of delay s and now turnover layoffs design changes keep coming
Why aren't they being moved to customers? Some rumours say there are parts (pedal issues), anyone got any information?
There is a video of the issue out there. Pedal cover slides forward and gets stuck in the firewall area when depressed. Brakes work to over ride, but certainly safety critical. My understanding is that there is a ship hold until permanent corrective action can be implemented😢
That needs sorting out then, thanks for your insight

THAT IS NOT A LOT OF TRUCKS
better Ship that Crap before it gets Hot in Texas, the Grid will Crash charging these Crappy Wanna be Trucks!
they rust after days and you cant even take them into a car wash bit of joke
You CAN take them to a car wash. You just have to push a bunch of buttons to put them in a special mode or it voids your warranty. Because that makes sense on a $100,000 car.
No word on forcing God to put special modes on rain storms as to not offend Cybertruck's delicate exterior. Probably because Musk thinks he's God.
Can we put those truck things on a Starship and send them to mars?
Tesla shot themselves in the ass building a truck that no professional can use. You'll never see one of these with a utility/maintenance company, municipalities, construction, roofers, electricians, HVAC contractors, emergency services, military, delivery vehicles, and the list goes on. At least the Ford lightning can be used for all these things and get the groceries. If a truck regardless of its propulsion system cannot perform utilitarian functions, it is not a truck.
Did I see a Chevy truck in the parking lot? Hmm, do the people that work there NOT drive electric vechicles?
Yes sir.
Tesla doesn't pay its factory workers enough to buy the cars they are building. Musk isn't Henry Ford.
I still think they are going to feed the tunnel underground from each production line by elevator like the original concept from city streets. This will allow the development and proof of the tunnel traffic controls.
Production cars will FSD off the line to charging. Will the tunnel extend under the river to that Tesla property and their own railhead terminal?
Production cars can FSD off the line to the tunnel exit on the west side and then STOP. FSD is NOT certified for driving ANYWHERE without a human driver monitoring.
@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn I don't care about FSD but why can't they use it on private property? There are many cars that are not street legal that are used on private property.
@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn On their own property with no public streets or driveways? Are you sure?

@@hiloviking actually what’s starting to die is EVs… some companies won’t even insure them anymore, even homeowners insurance companies will not allow you to park them in your garage if it is connected to the house… Because of the fires…Hertz is selling their entire fleet, because they are very expensive to run… And very expensive almost impossible to repair if you get into a fender bender… And let’s face it strip mining Third World countries for lithium is not environmentally, friendly… And they actually run on coal natural gas and uranium… Not fairy dust…it’s a trend… doesn’t work for most normal people… And most people who own them also have a gasoline powered car…
Your going on flawed data, It has been shown that Hybrids have the biggest chance of catching fire, next ICE vehicles and last EVs. Over all EV sales have increase 60 percent over last year. I have said many times it is the ugliest car ever made. I see at least one a day in my neighborhood and they jar the eyes. An international shipping container with wheels would look better.
Sorry, but this is one ugly cybertruck. I know someone who ordered one and passed on it. The range of 340 miles down to 170 miles towing and that depends on what you’re towing, the weather, cold will reduce it even more, the terrain, etc. but hey for $16k you can get additional battery to extend it maybe 100 miles not to mention that the additional battery will take up /3 of the bed.
In 2019 price was supposed to be around $40k for the lowest model but now it’s about $60k, $80k for midrange & $100k for top model whatever that means. So, get ready kids. Start saving, maybe by 2030 you’ll have enough money to buy one, unless you want to have a $600 or more monthly payment then the truck could be yours now. It looks they have plenty of them in their parking lot.
It's like they are only making Cybertruck! 1000 a week?

I earn enough, but am too frugal to ever piss away $100,000 for any car that loses 20% of its value the day I roll off the dealer lot. I don't see why anybody does that.
With that said, the fugly Cybergolfcart would not be on my list. That flying C-pillar on the "truck" bed alone is a deal-killer for me. Not a real truck.
What do you call a glut of Mad Max Stainless Steel "trucks" that sit and rust on the asphalt?
Another Elon screwup...
Surface rust. Which all cars get just more susceptible on stainless. Also a lot easier to clean on stainless.
@@donkstonian The HUGE problem with the Mad Max and stainless steel is the fact that as the truck moves through the air it builds up a static electricity charge that attracts all the microscopic steel particles from brakes in traffic and stick to the raw steel and that rusts and shows up as circles on the truck.
A painted car doesn't have this problem 5 layers of paint and 2 clear coat.
That is probably the reason why 90% (just my guess) pay an additional $7,000 to wrap the Mad Max in plastic with a color. But unlike a painted car/truck a scratch in the plastic allows the brilliant stainless steel to shine like the sun poking through storm clouds.
