I love how Nintendo censored the breasts on statues in Castlevania but they OK'd a game where you're a vigilante gunning people down in the street - you can even kill innocents in the form of the Jazz player. Also love, how they show no blood in the actual stages, but the mugshots of the criminal sub-bosses after each stage are exceedingly gory.

I just got this nes cart in yesterday I'll be honest I have played just about every nes SNES game that they're is but I didn't have the punisher growing up so now 46 years old I can finally play the game I haven't tried yet I'm headed home from work right now and going home to try it out. I'm focused on buying all the pricey carts right now I have ton of carts for both nes and SNES but I Am happy to have a very nice copy perfect sticker with dust sleeve thanks for sharing

Wild Guns on the Super NES was the spiritual successor to this game, only thing is that game had a wild west vibes unlike this game which had an urban vigilante vibes. Both plays similar except in Wild Guns you could jump and hop all over the place.
I may be in the minority here but when you see the cutscenes of the punisher talking at the start of the missions and they have the blue color for his face and the way it looks, I wonder if that's where they got the inspiration for how Arnold was going to look in the Terminator 2 movie?

Haven't played this game since I was a kid. This along with Dragon Spirit were games that I had a benefitial glitch happen that got me invincibility. Not sure why it happened but it was the only way I was able to beat both of those games.
The most dangerouse of this game was explosive damage it take a lot of damage and difficult to avoid,some enemies like heavy thugs,Kriegg and Kingpin really love spamming explosive attack

Pretty cheap how the bonus stages skip part of the level and count against you getting the best bonus for the world by making you miss enemies. Still a not terrible licensed NES game. Actually of all the superhero...related characters Punisher has by far the best record for videogames. This is pretty good. Arcade game was great. PS2 game was great. I mean not a LONG list but if the 3 or 4 you have are all good that still beats like Batman with the 40/60 spread or poor Superman with the 2/10 average.
How would you do the movement of the character with the light gun? If you notice you can slide the character left and right to dodge. Can't exactly do that with the light gun. Gumshoe was about the closest game to allow you to dodge with the light gun if you could even call it that. You shot your character instead of the stuff in the game and it made him jump.
