I had the exact mower, some 12 years ago. One day lost braking, axle issue out of trans. I pulled trans, tore apart and replaced axle and clip. Was an ordeal, but got it working. Was great mower, but sold it, and regretted it. Best rider ever had. Used for several years, bought used. Starter relay went out also, and was smoking some, but went to synthetic oil usage and that stopped. I even put on a 2 inch hitch mount from ford pinto and often pulled a 4x8 trailer around yard with 2000 lbs of soil in it, really enjoyed the mower, quality, for most part.

🤣you are welcome
Unlike Mustie1 to turn down a free mower, is he feeling OK lol?
Beat me to it, no way Mustie would've turned that down😁
haha, I had already recorded that 1st clip already and when he came down for the splitter i asked him to do that cameo for me :).
@@5150mxVW - NOW it all makes sense.
Throw back, cuz I had to. Sorry. "Do you even lift Bro?" Lmao
haha, many decades ago I would work 2nd shift at a restaurant , then go load trucks at a ups type company from 12 am to 4 am ...then hit the xtra mart for a box of pop tarts , a king size snickers and a chocolate milk ...then roll into World Gym for the 4:30 am opening ....did i say decades ? I meant centuries :).
Bloody hell Jason honda ride on lawn mower I think there's going to be melt down when the cr videos get showed mate keep doing what you do well anything you can tinker about with Wil keep all us from all these programs the other half watch reality shows love island you know what I mean 5150mxVw you should be an extra channel on the TV thumbs up mate
😂😂, I did work on the DT250 and took it for a spin today . Josh wants to work on dirt bikes now so MX in aug 👍. Thanks Lee
@@5150mxVW cheers jay I was surprised looked on eBay the old dt Mx you can parts for but the dt LC parts hard to find strange really I can't find a stator plate for a dt 80 liquid cooled
Hey Jason, is everything ok? Havent seen any new vids in awhile.
Hi Rodger, thanks for checking in , yes , been a bit busy and somethings I had filmed just didn’t quite come together . The new vid I put out today is an 8 hour edit for a measly 20 minute vid :) . Thanks again for checking in , I appreciate it 👍
you can take the carb studs out
you think that takes less time than a float bowl screw ?
@@5150mxVW I've had some Honda carb stud finger tight, so yes :D
That looks a lot like the old rear engined Snappers.
probably close in size but the Honda is so much more complex
@@5150mxVW, yes they are. The Snapper looks very much like this ne but was very simple to operate and repair. Maybe that's why they aren't around any more. Plus, as I understand it from a local mower supply company, Snapper went to using a lot of cheaper Chinesium parts and their mowers just wouldn't hold up.
Hey wait a minute! Isn’t that Forrest Gump’s ride on mower 😂
haha! close !
When Honda makes a mower,I think they try to make it miserable for the mechanic!
Smart, good parts at free!!!!
👍, Luckily it had a nice seat, engine cover , rear tires and a good battery ....plus all the extra parts , neat little machine , just not very fun to wrench on haha.
I love it when we have a twin double mower.
dont know much but it looks to me that those long screws on the carb would come off if you try a vice grip on them or put two nuts one against the other just an observation
Everyone has their preference but dropping the bowl bolt seems easier than two studs ...
I’ve got that same mower
You're going to have a stuffed up back by the time you are much older, take better care of yourself, otherwise, who's going to fix up all those old VW's Jason?
And a tip, to slide off the carby, remove a stud.
Maaaan, that loading process was a perfect example for: work hard, not smart! 😁😂
So don't ever cut your hair short because you know what happened to Sampson = no strength any more. 😁😂
Just kidding of course.
Mustie didn't want it cause he knew it was going to be a pain in the butt.
Nice
I was speaking to the Mustie1 about a Harmony 1100, maybe if he doesn't want it....
I’m sure he would be interested if your local . I had already recorded that 1st clip and he came down for the log splitter so I asked him to shoot that 2nd clip for me . I had the other 3009 mower so if the mower was toast I had a lot of great parts.
@@5150mxVW I'll be up in probably less than a month. Boston bound first. As long as fun is involved it should all work out. Great video by the way - loading was classic!
