the boys is helping their parents gaining money by selling foods. It's common now as the living cost is increasing rapidly. Thank you for supporting them 😊
Love the way you guys attended those boys, can see parents-instincts in you both ☺. You make best parents-ever... look fwd to see ur future videos with junior jimmy+iChang 🥰
I like how you guys review food. You are very descriptive. Not just 'Wow! Its delicious!' or 'Yummy!'. A lot of food reviewers on TH-cam can learn a few things from you.
Proud to be a Johorean. And Johoreans are proud of their foods. We expect high standard in preparation and presentation. Your food is a reflection of how well you regard others.
The "kerisik galangal" is called serunding. It's shredded coconut cooked with some spices. And most food that you ate taste nutty because there was sambal kacang. Sambal kacang is similar to satay sauce. Johorean put sambal kacang in both lontong kering and lontong basah. Outside Johor, people only put sambal ikan bilis/sambal tumis in lontong basah.
this japanese couple make my heart melt after seeing both of them buy mangoes from the boys.iChang & jimmy bought the mangoes from their heart! in return, the boys gave them the candy floss! so sweeeet to both of you.
Spaghetti is only for Johor laksa, since you're in Johor pls try out the Johor Laksa. It's authentic than you find in other states. For the Mee rebus it's yellow noodle. The coconut shavings in lontong is serunding kelapa. Very tedious to prepare the serunding. Lontong is prepared many different ways depending on the cook. The kacang pool looks delish🤤🤤 For the preserve mango, it's jeruk mangga. The kicap manis is call kuah colek.
Wow you met the boss who can speak Japanese. The both of you show become food reviewers from a foreigner's perspective. I always enjoy the way you describe the food you eat especially if the taste is quite similar to your childhood food. The pickled mangoes can be found throughout Malaysia. Hi Ichang and Jimmy, just a small tips for your food adventure in Malaysia. Usually when squeezing Limau into food, we make sure the seeds are taken out. That way we ensure we don't bite into the seeds which will cause bitter when enjoying the food. Hope this helps :)
I would place the fork under the lime when I squeeze so that the seed does not fall into my dish then I just discard the seed easily at the side of the plate😅
Ichang, since you at Johor Try to go to Plaza Angsana - Got Rojak Asma over there Try seek Sate Wak Radol - the most tender beef satay i ever had! You should go to Anjung Warisan, and can dinner at the top of tree! I don't know in JB area, but in Batu Pahat you can eat Mi Racun and Briyani Gam.

Looks like they use actual lontong rice in the lontong kering and lontong basah/lontong kuah. Usually rice packets are used in lontong kering and lontong basah/lontong kuah. That’s why it tastes differently from the lontongs you’ve tried before. If you want, you can find lontong rice in Pasar Kampung Melayu Majidee. Enjoy all the food in my hometown guys!
iChang & Jimmy, l have been following all your videos from eating durians, before and after you moved to Hong Kong, cooking, eating and buying Malaysian food and your U-turn to Jalan-jalan, cari makan (食べ歩き) in Malaysia.
