Thank you for the video Dave. Door and boot shuts are often overlooked when people clean their cars, but it makes such a difference when it's done properly as you demonstrated. 👍
Thanks again!! for your guidance on systemising & refining my approach to cleaning door shuts. Up till now my approach hasn’t been as systematic as you have explained. I now have a clear plan how to tackle this area of cleaning and protecting in an efficient way. (Your the best! Thank you!!)
I need to do my shuts more as I only do them probably once a month! Great tip to do them after the wheels 👍.....defo going to include this in maintenance wash...........keep the videos coming pal 👏
Using brushes ESPECIALLY on the hinges is a must! I too find ceramic coating gives best lasting durability and gloss. Really good AND important video on an aspect of car care that often doesn't get the attention that it should.
Great vid. Thumbs up!! I always use dedicated cloths for engine/ door jams it does eliminate contamination. I actually do use ceramic spray for the door jams. Thanks for the tip about turning off the power on the karcher too!
Thanks for yet another great video Dave. I must admit I used to neglect this part of my car cleaning routine. I've found another use for my Yum ceramic too. All enthusiastically explained and demonstrated 😁👍
@@epicautomotivedetailing All good thanks and summer is coming, oh seen the YumCars plug on CarWow yesterday too -big coverage it will get on there..cheers

Thanks mate I don't drink beer but lucozade energy orange is as mad as it gets lol. Yeah I still got my footage but it's not quite how I want it so been filming other videos in between sorry for delay. Stuff just happens in this business then you get sidetracked 😬
Hi Dave, do you have any video or tips how to protect the rubber seal in car door? Just to make it last longer where I live in Southeast Asia so hot weather 😊
The power wash is also good at cleaning out the drain holes in the door bottoms ,it’s an area that customers really appreciate when you hand the car back…first impressions…👍
Hi David, I’ve been gifted a Bosch AQT 40-13 without the hose or Lance. Any recommendations on what i could use with this machine? Many thanks keep up the great video’s
Do you dilute all your chemicals? I'm making a mistake of not diluting mine and using too much each time, starting to get expensive (maybe you could make a video on this) not telling you want to do just genuinely interested and binging your videos 😅
I bought a 'Meguiars' bucket in a sale. Biggest difference is construction - far sturdier, doesn't flex as the water moves like cheap buckets. The Meg is for the soap and the cheap bucket is for the tool rinsing. Yes, there will be some cost for the branding.
No not at all. Well I mainly use them in business. But as of October my new footage comes out and featuring loads of brands. This is all older footage which has to come out first so we did many collabs earlier in year. Got some brilliant bits filmed but they not coming till these ones have been uploaded 🙏
Absolutely nothing wrong with that video David. Informative and to the point. Well done. Dad👍
We lost so much footage. Basically making the best of it
Thank you for the video Dave. Door and boot shuts are often overlooked when people clean their cars, but it makes such a difference when it's done properly as you demonstrated. 👍

Another great video Davey boy! One of the key differences between a pro and amateur is the treatment of door and boot jambs.
Nice work lad
Thanks so much 🙏
Nice video again totally agree with turning the power washer off for boot great advice 👍
Thanks Andy

Thanks Steven, got few more of these then back onto new stuff soon 🙏
Cheers Dave very useful tips there mate cheers!
Thanks Ricky 🙂
Great vid as alway dave, grea tip putting a towel over the mats. (Always nealy give the mats a soak)🤣👍
Thanks Paul it's amazing how little water gets in with a steady hand ✋
Don't no what it is about door shuts and engine bays but I love doing them. One of my pet hates is dirty door shuts.
Engine bay cleaning is satisfying for sure. Trying new waxes and that's sort of making its way back into my favourite jobs
Epic thanks Dave
Thanks mate
Excellent advice
Thank you 🙏
Good video as always
Cheers Stuart

Great tip!
I do the same with a spray ceramic wax etc , no point having a glossy paintwork and a dull door opening . I do the same in the boot shuts as well
Nice one due to drips on door shuts it's a real winner
fantastic video, thanks
What brushes do you use? Lots of good tips again 👍
Yum cars brushes
Nice vid will there be a video on how best to clean exhaust tips in the future? 😊
Yes 100% mate
Hi David, I’ve been gifted a Bosch AQT 40-13 without the hose or Lance. Any recommendations on what i could use with this machine? Many thanks keep up the great video’s
Hi mate sorry I haven't really sat and studied any of that brand I'm afraid so I wouldn't be much use sadly
I have that pressure washer and just purchased mjjc foam lance with correct attachment. Haven't tried it yet but has great reviews
These places are so tricky to clean and get so dirty. Not cleaning the door shuts is like not brushing your teeth LOL.
Hi Dave
Great tips again, i seem to struggle with rinsing door pillars without getting interior wet, any tips on this?
Yes mate use old bath towels and it does the job. And a very steady hand ✋
Subscribed, love your videos! Where are you based please I’d like to bring my car in for a good clean up.
Thank you so much 🙏
Any recommendations on applicator pads for HAND polishing a car with AG super resin?
i like thick ones from valet pro
Would I be able to use some soapy water with dish soap instead because I don't have any money left over to buy prewash
Off topic but how you you repair scratches an score marks off plastic door/tailgate cards Dave?
Never had to do that but happy to research and try it out we got loads of old cars to test
nice forearms man looking strong
Lol thanks
Do you have to use pressure washer to clean door jambs
No you can use other methods
Hi what machine do u use for the upholstery and carpets
Charles wet vac my friend
Yeah got a charles what attachment u got for it
👍🏻👍🏻
🙏
Can i use diluted APC instead of the prewash?
It's a bit more aggressive on the paint and waxes. The reality is yes you can but it's not something I'd recommend all the time
@@epicautomotivedetailing got it..tq..

I spray them off and then when I’m drying I use Meguiars waterless wax and wipe it all down.
Nice one if it works for you great ⭐
open one door at a time to avoid overspray going in another door
🤩
😃
Brilliant “how to”
Thank you 🙏
This is why I only ever buy 2 door cars! 😉
Best response I had all week 😂
great stuff - but £25 for a bucket?
Thanks mate. Sorry I can't comment on that lol 😉
@@epicautomotivedetailing gagging order eh? Never bite the hand that feeds you!!! I begrudgingly paid b&q £7 for a plasterers bucket!

I thought I was listening to Jools Holland?!!! :-)
Now we're talking sir! Fuck the hate and appreciate 🤣🤣
Haters make me money every time they watch lol. Every dislike counts as engagement so TH-cam actually ranks videos higher so they do me a favour 👌
SO wash you see? Assume there is no dier i się doors?
Wouldn't it be easier and better to used a steam cleaner and wipe?
The majority of people don't have steam cleaners
Good video pal however I take it you only use Yum products now.

If I did that with my karcher I would probably get all the water in the inside. 😂🙄
Honestly your be surprised how little gets in
I'd be nervous of soaking the inside of the car 😢
