Flash Fact: Thawne spent his whole life doing _exactly_ what Meena is trying to do, create an _artificial Speed-Force_ and give herself powers similar to the Flash. It's also how he's able to give her so much help with her research, because he's already done said research himself.
The Thawne we saw in this episode : is he thawne before he get his power or Thawne from the future that actually lost his memories?

Eboard Thawne has such a potential in this series, generally the best character. That's why he always returns. The story thought is bad. I didn't watch the Flash since Arrow ended, but now checking 8x18, I actually liked some stuff.

Thawne is a Paradox, but also time travels so much, that he can die, but at some point in time he’ll be around tomorrow and yesterday. But he also remembers every death that has and hasn’t happened.
That's how he was able to plot what happened in the comics until he revealed to Barry that he was aware of all of his deaths, all of his lives, also revealing that he created Hunter Zolomon/Zoom and August Heart/Godspeed.

@@kingol4801 Bro, im still trying to understand for other too months, I get that the original Thawne died when Eddie shot himself and Thawne became a paradox but, Why did his past before he turned evil came at Barry's time? And not two Centuries later? Did it happen because the new barry needed to mentor new Eobard for the Timeline to stabilise? Atleast I get how the Original Thawne returned in Season 8 because the new Thawne didn't become evil and the Negative Speedforce needed an Avatar who had hate within.

I find it hilarious how the expression that Thanwe wrote on the board, the one that seemed to amaze Dr.Dhawan, was the almost the exact same expression written right next to it, (which is the equation for Relativistic kinetic energy). It’s just written in a different form.

What we need is Matt and Tom teaming up. Heck have them travel across the timeline to get all the main villan speedsters.
I think they can't do that...if one exists the other can't exist in the same timeline together....they can but for a very specific period of time. The one which travelled have to go back to maintain the timeline
I really wish this show had long since given us a scene with both Thawne actors together. That would be so sweet. Doubtful we'll get that in this last season.

Thawne's interview is like the literal definition of actions speak louder than words. His resume could have been flashy and look good, but Thawne just shows his intelligence instead rather than trying to make his resume do the talking.

Funny thing about timelines and the multiverse in this series, there will always be a Thawne who will be the yang to Barry's ying with nearly all of them having the same desire, to destroy the Flash and make his life miserable. One cannot exist without the other which is what Barry and Team Flash always seem to overlook and not take seriously especially after the hell Thawne has put them all through.

The tldr summary of Count of Monte Cristo is that a man was framed for a crime he didn't commit right when he was about to move up in the world. While in prison, he meets a Priest who teaches him everything and the man becomes not only more intelligent, but figured out why and who framed him. After 10 years of the two trying to escape the prison via a tunnel they were making to leave, it collapses on the Priest, where he does shortly later. However before he dies, he gives the man the map to where the treasure of Monte Cristo is buried. The Priest dies, and is put into a body bag, but before he's thrown into the ocean, the man switches places and is later picked up by Sinbad the Pirate. He goes on a few adventures with them for a few years and eventually saves up enough to go on his own, finding the island. Once finding the treasure, he remakes himself as the elusive Count of the Island of Monte Cristo, using his skills, intelligence, and money to get vengeance on those who wronged him.

Imagine if they made an anthology series starring Barry and Thawne fighting throughout many timelines and time periods, starting from Pre-season 1 original timeline to the current post-armageddon/crisis world.
The anthology format worked so well for Arrow season 8, each episode had a different vibe and was inspired by a different season.

The Count of Monte Cristo, truly does seem like Thawne's type of reading material. The main character got imprisoned on an island and wanted revenge, just like Eobard Thawne. Well, guess some supervillains have to get inspiration from somewhere.
The bigger question is who is gonna be Thawne's Abba Faria to help him get salvation and a second chance of life out of the prison walls

Just realized now: Thawne reads the story of Monte Christo who was prisoned. In order to escape he had to stage his death. And this is similar to what happens to Thawne later to escape his prison: he first had to die.
