Eboard Thawne has such a potential in this series, generally the best character. That's why he always returns. The story thought is bad. I didn't watch the Flash since Arrow ended, but now checking 8x18, I actually liked some stuff.

Thawne's interview is like the literal definition of actions speak louder than words. His resume could have been flashy and look good, but Thawne just shows his intelligence instead rather than trying to make his resume do the talking.
Funny thing about timelines and the multiverse in this series, there will always be a Thawne who will be the yang to Barry's ying with nearly all of them having the same desire, to destroy the Flash and make his life miserable. One cannot exist without the other which is what Barry and Team Flash always seem to overlook and not take seriously especially after the hell Thawne has put them all through.
What people don’t get is: That’s the Thawne that died in the legends, but the time wraiths saved thawne and erased most of his memories and his speed that thawne already knows how to make the machine
The Count of Monte Cristo, truly does seem like Thawne's type of reading material. The main character got imprisoned on an island and wanted revenge, just like Eobard Thawne. Well, guess some supervillains have to get inspiration from somewhere.

The anthology format worked so well for Arrow season 8, each episode had a different vibe and was inspired by a different season.

Barry needs to honestly chill the hell out. This constant blaming Thawne for everything shows how bad his judgment truly is. Obviously, I get what Thawne has done had caused grief upon. But come on, you took his speed away and locked him off in isolation... how the hell could it be him?
I mean thawne has shown up every season with a crazy plan that results in Barrys misery so it makes alot of sense Barry immediately assumes he's up to something
