    And some days, I just bake a big loaf of whole wheat bread, and eat that with some raw veg. Sometimes I have just bread, vegetables, and water for a week at a time! I never get tired of simplicity, thank god.

      @@belindarosenheim2322 I had that today! I made whole grain bread out of wheat, lentil, and quinoa flours (about 70% wheat, 15% lentil, and 15% quinoa) and I had it thinly sliced with raw veg as sandwiches with just a little guacamole on each sandwich. Was DELICIOUS!

    I love this! Your eating style is exactly like mine. 😊 I tell ppl that my recipes are called, “Put food in a bowl and eat it.” 😊 Simplicity and sameness rules in my book. I eat the same things over and over and love it just as much every time. 🥰 My typical dinner is a big bowl of greens with avocado, potato, beans or lentils, carrot, red pepper, green onion, raw garlic and sauerkraut, and topped with sea salt, nutritional yeast and Braggs. Delicious! ✌️🌱

    🌱🕊💚You eat like I do. Lots of huge fresh salads in my favorite wooden bowl plus some cooked quinoa, potatoes, beans, mushrooms etc. After 8 years, husband still doesn’t understand the health message & says I eat gerbil food. Well I’m loving my gerbil food thank you ha! Gone are the years of eating everything Deep South fried; yuk!! For a long time I quit trying to convince him; don’t try anymore. He’s still extremely difficult to live with in his thinking….. peace & blessings! Keep doing what you’re doing! 🌱🕊💚

    Great tips in this one, Jack! I have found that dehydrating food is so time consuming with the prep & then the lengthy dehydrating time that I actually eat more veggies if I just steam them! Prep less, enjoy more!!

    • @RawTropicalLiving
      @RawTropicalLiving  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I rarely use oil. My roommate has it in the kitchen and I probably use it every couple of months. I eat quinoa quite regularly, brown rice less frequently and oats at times. 🙂

    I eat that sort of thing all the time! I just cook a grain and/or a legume, and then add whatever veg (or fruit) was on sale. Usually, it's bulgur wheat, pinto beans, tomato, avocado, cucumber, pureed whole lemon, spices, raw greens, bell pepper, walnuts, more or less variety as desired. As a nighttime snack, I made myself a whole wheat flatbread in my tortilla press, just flour and water cooked in the hot skillet.

    I like healthy foods but my problem is that I also like unhealthy foods. Tonight I had some pretzels and a candy bar. How do you resist those temptations or do you not crave stuff like that?

    • @RawTropicalLiving
