I think it was one of Bjorn's videos, and with a Tesla iirc, where the vent exits were channeled through the door handles & charge port. Yes, it was a Bjorn video because he used a water mister to make extra ice! Next morning he used the car's app to remotely turn on the heating to see how quickly he could get into the car with frozen door handles. Only Bjorn would think of testing like that!
11:10 the heat loss is likely the exhaust air from the cabin. When your heater takes inn air from the outside, the air in the car has to be pushed out somewhere... My car have the vent on the C pillar with the air exiting in the door cracks to the trunk.
Good that the heat from the rear wheels appears to heat the outermost tail lights which I assume are the brake lights, so at least they stay clear in snow driving
12:58 No, they don't. That seal not being there is exactly the reason why the port was NOT frozen, since melted water can exit. With the Japanese, you can expect that nothing is left to chance. They go 120% all the time. That doesn't mean everything is perfect, cars never are, they always are a compromise. But its safe to assume that any compromise made was a very well thought out decision. It's just how they are. And having driven 15000km in winter with this car, I can say with confidence, that the charge port opened each and every time.
Are you the kind of guy that takes these things home, even though you'll never use it? I'm that guy 🤣😂 Impressed with the Ariya snowy road performance but the lack of winterisation features is poor. They could at least offer a winterisation package for those that need it.
Winter ev test are best. Maybe because i dont like snow that much, u dont wanna struggle with cars in winter, they should just work, deice fast, dont spinnout on ice and dont antispinn kill the car in mod.
Better ride comfort and looks better. If you charge at home for most if the time and don’t drive 500+ km three times a week the Ariya could be the better choice in my opinion.
The snowflakes in the headlights are hypnotic!
Who needs a fridge when it's minus 3 outside.
Keep up the good work, Björn!
7:00 "Once all four wheels are locked up, no one cares how many of them were driven by the engine before" 😉
The warm part on the real-fender, is due to cabin-ventilation exit is in this aera. Normaly there is a vent behind the rear bumper.

YES! Finally, i love the Geilo test. 😎😎😎
We love you Bjorn. I'm going to watch every ad which comes so that you can make more money this December

Is the whole seat heated or the middle?
Always liked FWD cars over RWD in the snow. The extra mass over the steering tires is nice for traction.
well, most EV's are close to 50/50 distribution so it does not apply
is there camp mode? can you sleep in it?

"antispinn kill the car in mod"
I really hate it when my car does this! 😂
(only teasing!)
eyyyy

Its more expensive than a tesla Y in the Netherlands..dont see any reason to go with this over the Tesla
