I got a vehicle towed in my shop in the same sort of condition, I quoted them on how much it was going to cost to put back together, 3 days later they sent the tow truck back to pick it up, the tow truck driver told me that he’s been towing the vehicle all over Sydney 🤭😂

hi I have found out that when you break the little terminal of the starter you can replace the solenoid with one from a mitsubishi magna so you dont have to scrap the starter because of that broken bolt
maybe it wasnt a mechanic who dissasembled the engine, no one i know in the trade goes out of there way to generate excess work for themselves like that. glad you specialise in one type it makes it SO EASY when you do that, beats the hell out of continualy having to learn about every car under the sun.
Can you help with torque settings for the big-end bearings on a 2.4 petrol 4 Cyclinder SOH cam 1999, Australian specs 2wd ute. It is a Cr23? The VIN used in Australia designates it KA. 1.Big End bearings: Do I have to replace the bolts? The crank is smooth, the bore is smooth (I honed it) and the inside is clean, 300K km travelled. 2. Is there a two stage torque set procedure? I can find a one stage and set to 25-30 Nm, is that good enough? 3. Could you please explain the "Plastigage Procedure", is it relevant? If it is could you supply me the specs to check to. 4. If there is a slight big end knock on an old motor at low revs, is it worth fixing? 5. Are there any kits you can supply to help? I would like to keep this 2WD ute. 6. I find the designation D22 very broad, it seams to cover lots of Nissans, could you define that please.
I have just bought a project that is pretty much the same way as this...!! Apart from the engine (minus head) was delivered on the back of the tray... 😂
Would be crazy fun if you filmed like a series when you put one of these cars together from the parts on the bed there, to a running engine in the car.
