Indeed, perfect running form. I sort of feel the same about Jakob Ingebrigtsen over the middle distances, just an effortless quality while generating tremendous speed.
He definitely makes it look good. However I think Paul Chelimo has the most elegant running form. I think many people would agree with me. Paul is certainly not Kipchoge, but he definitely has better form.
Coach Sang needs to advice Augustine Choge to pace himself in marathons. He has not finished one in a long time and he's wasting his career. Maybe try & run the half, 25ks and build that stamina.
@@deanevans3968 I've seen him run with the lead pack and blow up on numerous occasions. Maybe he needs to change coaching. I don't know what's happening there. I think he can run 2:05 with pacing and the right mindset.
@lordaries5498 definitely, I remember watching the NN marathon and the commentators saying they're surprised he went with the second group considering his record. The must've been 2 or 3 years now. And he showed at Boston he still hasn't learnt
@@deanevans3968 sadly he's yet to learn. I think training with Kipchoge gives some of them the illusion that they're in that 2:01/02 shape. Pacing will save his career. He just needs to lower his standards and race wisely. By now he'd have ran a 2:05 maybe 2:04 but...... Oh well.
@@miller10 why would the 2k split and the 1K split be the same? That’s the part that doesn’t make sense to me. If the splits/pace is the same for each km why are the 2k and 1k separate? Why not just say 5x 3k? In the 2018 video I saw, the Coach specifically says “slow, then fast”.

I’ve long pondered this but honestly can’t conclude otherwise: Eliud has the most elegant, effortless marathon form of all time.
It just doesnt feel right . How can he run so perfectly ? It is Beautiful . His body was meant to this .

Pushing the envelope!! I tried this recovery method and hit a new PR matching the pace 2:45s-3:15s

Needless to say... Loving the content!!!
Kipchoge runs so effortlessly and elegant
Lovely! Thanks for this insight!

I was thinking that. You'd think he could run 2:06 considering who he trains with and his PBs.

OMG!
kipchoge head is so still when he runs
Wait, so is one set of the workout run 2k, then sprint 1K, then rest (walk 100m, then jog 100m = 1:40)? This is done 5 times?
Nvm, I looked at another video from 2018 which explains it. The 2k pace is 5:50 and the 1k pace is 2:50, then rest.
The estimated 2k split is incorrect in the video.
That was confusing me 😂
@@brianmitchell8811the 2k split is actually the pace (2:52/km so ~ 5:44 for 2km)
