As an amateur runner who only runs for fun and clocks just under 2 hours for half marathon (the distance they do for a full marathon roughly), im extremely fascinated by these athletes and absolutely love how humble they all are. My goal is to finish a marathon in under 4 hours one day
I guess Im asking randomly but does someone know of a method to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
@Nikolas Evan Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thanks NN Running for sharing the behind the scenes of what it takes to run a marathon. A lot of times , this knowledge is not available to everyone. There is so much that the Running apps don't tell you.
Awesome! It's gonna sound cliche, but these guys are so inspiring. After 20 years of not running, I found this channel during lockdown and rediscovered the fun of running and feeling fast (which means a different thing to me that it does to these folks - I'm not running half as fast). Now I do a couple of miles each day and it feels great. I love it how the runners convey the teamwork behind what appears such an individual sport.
This is exactly what helps me for cross country each season. Some others have natural more natural speed than me, but when we do start doing speed sessions, I get more used to racing.
10:47 I thought he was explaining with a 2h 50min marathon example, just for us mere mortals to comprehend. Then, I realised he meant pace per km. LOL. Thank goodness the best in the world use normal units of km. Sorry not sorry Americans.
I wish the American athletes like NFL players would show the class these guys demonstrate when being interviewed. They are so humble, inspiring, and likeable. Its easy to admire them and cheer for their success
In addition to their natural ability, what amazes me more is the dedication these people have for their craft. 100% commitment, no matter what the conditions are.
My motivation just do it ya u get tired slow down byt dont stop just do just do and one day u will reach ur target i know i have did it n i got 3k-13 min at 17 age
Thank you for these inspiring and down to earth videos. I am a super beginner and these videos has helped me to change my mentality and running isnt a chore anymore
Not sure if anyone else notices or cares, but the subtitles are white and almost always put next to something white and it makes them hard to read. Just a thought
Yeah, that's a great thought, but then again the best color to use would be something like pink, and they have a small black outline around the white words. Yeah, it can be hard to see sometimes.
Does anyone know what is on a few of the athletes shoes. It looks like a power meter, but I've never seen this model. Could also just be some funky laces. Refer to the green shoes at 12:51 and pink shoes at 12:57
I am willing to pay any amount of money for Patrick Sang to train me. I am just a weekend warrior, running for overall fitness and fun but i think it will be totally cool to be able to run as fast and effortlessly as these elite athletes.
“If we’re slow we have to increase it, if we’re fast we have to maintain it” Words.

How’s that going for you these days, I just started running myself
Good luck go smash it mate!!
Do it under 2hrs dude! Go break the world record 😅
Aim higher, go for a sub 3. The sub 4 will fall easily for you. Good luck
You can do that!!
Special atmosphere, special athletes. Teamwork is the key.
Unfortunately I have to team up with myself. I have an imaginary friend running in front of me. Not sure it is working though!!!

Yep... Ending with 2:40/km
@@belliiahmed crazy. These athletes are on a different level.
@@belliiahmed there are amazing ,😹😹😹😹
I almost died today doing 4x1000m intervals 😂
When you train with Kamworor and Kipchoge, Sang says you're naturally killing yourself. I naturally agree with that.
eliud says in the video we are not running very fast on track..mentioning 2.35 1k's...
Mentally and physically
@@ytbaccount87 that's not yet very fast for the G.O.A.T himself hahaha

Certainly is inspirational stuff. 42 year old new runner. Started in March got up to half marathon distance so far. Long run tonight! Loving it.
Patrick Sang is clearly a genius coach 👌

As a runner I can watch these videos whole day
So many "secrets" mentioned in this video 🙏. One of which is the classic - Hard work pays off
10:47 I thought he was explaining with a 2h 50min marathon example, just for us mere mortals to comprehend. Then, I realised he meant pace per km. LOL.
Thank goodness the best in the world use normal units of km. Sorry not sorry Americans.

hahaa me toooo
@@arthurmeyers7506 I know right? I think most american runners, especially those of us who ran track use meters
I could listen to these athletes talk for hours. Another great video. Thanks
Amazing! Thanks for this and big respect to the athletes! 🙌🙏🔥
No problem
Never stop making these documentaries
Imagine running a few laps with Eluid and spending 10 mins talking to him.
yep Eliud is a goat but not the Legend Bekele so nnot that interested
@@calebt4yahweh210 Eliud > Bekele
Jabez Magomere what? 😂
@Derek Strachan ok so what record are meant to be broken it doesn’t mean Bekele isn’t the goat he still is and the best distance runner of all time.
You gonna need to really shout while talking to him cause he would be so far ahead of you!
I wish the American athletes like NFL players would show the class these guys demonstrate when being interviewed. They are so humble, inspiring, and likeable. Its easy to admire them and cheer for their success
I have learnt soo so much about developing a running training program from this video. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!

Ah I’m at the track on Saturday I’ll watch this again in the morning to get in the zone so I can put down some comparatively glacial 3:20km reps haha
Even faster, he said 3:15 min - 3:17 min per 1200 meters
“100% of me is nothing compared to 1% of the whole team”
Team work makes the dream work!
