If you are watching this from year 3000 from mars or any other planet colonized by human in our solar system or any other solar system.....this is the greatest human being to have ran on Earth and you know what is awesome about it......it's that I was alive and watched him run....it was a great time to be alive.

@@pepsiman9840 He's run 13 marathons and won 12 of those in the past 6 years(not including olympics and breaking 2). He made 240,000 in Berlin 2018. Distance running isn't lucrative in general but if you've won a ton of the big city marathons you will indeed be a multimillionaire.
@@toprightchannel3080 I guess youre right, but if he was a slower runner by a minute or 2 and wasn't part of the 2 hour project, he might not have been as successful financially

Kipchoge always reminds me that race of 5000m he beat Bekele and El Guerrouj in 2003. He's a true legend.
that was 16 years ago, i have been a fan of his since then.
He lost to both the year after in the Olympics with El Guerrouj winning gold in a distance that is not his speciality. Kipchoge was still an excellent mid distance runner. It is in the marathon though where he imposed himself as the GOAT.
And he was only 18 years old!
So happy they are making this documentary, the sub 2 marathon is the most insane feat of all time and no matter what happens choge has balls of steel

This series is inspirational on so many levels. The challenge itself is awe-inspiring, but it's the attitude of all the protagonists in this story that sets it apart. One of the gentlemen used the expression "abnormal satisfaction" in the context of seeing the returns of an investment in society. There's a humbleness and a generosity of spirit going on here that feels like an antidote to the arrogance on display in our daily news.
Eliud is such an amazing human being. Also all the pacers and coaches and all that is hapenning in the backround, amazing job, I really hope this comes out as a win, not only for eliud, but for everyone around and evryone supporting. Good luck

I’ve been so inspired by Eliud and his team.
Shows how humble these runners are (especially Kipchoge of course). The work and ability to do this level of running is extraordinary. I do hope the 2 hour mark is broken with plenty of room to spare. I also think in the not too distance future, Bekele is going to be right there nipping at his heals in the history books.

Are you the guy who was paced during last weeks testing weekend in Vienna? If so, can you tell me why there is a photo of you crossing the finish line with the clock showing 1:59:38 - Does that mean you have already done it? Surely not, otherwise INEOS159 challenge would not need to take place anymore.

Eluid Kipchoge kept me awake on this day and i am happy he broke the 2 hour barrier.
He is one reason i enjoy Athletics and why am now Part of the Corparate Athletics for my organization.
Just a fantastic guy who gives a humility lesson for everyone. I really hope that he will reach the target, he deserves to be THE ONE who did it!

Such an inspiration, really hope he breaks 2 hours. Love watching him run, he looks so relax and smooth, effortless. Yet the speed he is running at is insane, 400m is hard at his target pace, nevermind a marathon!!

Yes, it's lovely. They do a mix of Kalenjin - Kipchoge's native tongue - and Kiswahili.
