At my peak I use to run 5 mile just under 30 minutes..with no offical coach and not even good shoes...I had to drop my running due to financial challenges un my life and had to leave my dream to do 9 hour job.... I was really happy when I use to run...life is not same for all...love watching you people run ....love from India
Look i will run till last day of my life here on this Earth. For me running is greater health for this life of mine. Thank you for what you are doing, I'm from SOUTH AFRICA.
Hi Luis. I started following you on Instagram a couple of years ago. Thank you so MUCH for sharing your experience with us. I guess at 2:10 marathoners, these are the "slower" marathoner! WOW! I'm happy that you've been able to train with these hard-working and gifted runners! I have enjoyed watching your journey.
This is my goal pace for the 10k next weekend which is a Sub 35 and I’m super worried here whether I’ll make it or not. i know I’ll be going all out at this pace and Maaan 10 miles at this pace at a pretty easy pace is unthinkable and a dream!! Keep it up Luis! 🤩 and can’t wait to see your next speedy episode~~
Thanks man but unfortunately I ended up with a 35:18. Was on pace for 7.5 Km (4.66 miles) but the wheels came off and just dying to finish with my heart trying not to explode. Just shows how insane these guys can run at this pace is at double the distance at an EASY effort! and I’ve been running for a good 4-5 years.
Im from morocco I really liked your episode, it gave us efforts to progress in training. It is possible to do the translation in French. Thank you luis ❤️
Wonderful stuff, Luis and Nate! This is a real day-in-the-life video. Workouts and long runs are great to watch but at least they tells us that 80% of training is this. I really enjoyed seeing all that went on in the group. I am *not* considering adding motorbike lifting to my routine.😄
Hi Luis. Just discovered your channel. Really enjoying this Kenya series, particularly given I have just finished a book on Iten and Kenyan running. I look forward to further content - new subscriber :)
But 3'30" can't be easy run let's maybe say moderate for distance runners because it's close to race pace 3:00-3:20/km. Off which they are switching pace at first they look slower around 4min/km which they changed later during their run.
Great video, it is amazing to see the whole running group helping to lift the motorbike together. It's just such a great training atmosphere in Kenya, I hope to take lessons from this lifestyle and training and apply it to my own life. Why don't we all live more like this? 🙂
Great content as always… ❤ My PB is 4min 50 sec -1 km, normally i run 5 min 30 min per 1 km. I can not imagine how fast you are… its so impressive… but i keep pushing myself , even though i am an amateur runner doing 3-4 runs a week im proud i could progress since few years when i was running 1km/6:30/ 6:40 sometimes….consistency and consequency….Your videos motivate me , keep working !
I think easy runs long distance more often are way better than short fast paced run,i dont do short fast run anymore unless am fatigued i stick to easy long long runs they are more fun n enjoyable especially early mornings hell yeeeaaahh 🔥🔥
Hola Luis!! Saludos desde Río Colorado Argentina.. Una duda, en las corridas suaves, es lo mismo terminar con 5 progresiones de 45" que directamente terminar el último km a ritmo fuerte? Cambia en algo? .. GRACIAS 🙏🙌
Hi, how many times do you do these climbs at the end? They always do that, I run barefoot here in Portugal, there are only rock climbs, I'll have to get sneakers, I've been running with shoes for 2 years, I always do it slowly in the end, yes, the climbs activate the parasympathetic system but I'm going to start doing something climbs without going to death, running there is brutal, there is no way to run barefoot at will I take a parallel but I have fun barefoot, when I turn 30 maybe I'll do a marathon
Eso chamo....🇻🇪. Exclt entrenamiento.... Saliendo de una gripe que me tuvo ko 1 semana....así que toda motivación suma 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️😁. Abrazo gigante desde 🇨🇱, go 🇰🇪

The track workout with Paul Chelimo is out! We’ll also have another one with a huge group of Kenyans coming up in the future so subscribe to get notified!
Hi,Luis, ur video s are inspirational and intriguing, attract more runners around the world. I have a gentle request, a fresh idea comes to mind, could you make an episode talking about you and the Keyans PRs diet. I heard they meals include70% carbohydrate, 20meat, 10%fat. Moreover, they like sweet Ugali, sweet soft cake made from corn, correct me if I get wrong.Thank you.
What a quality group of athletes to train with Luis Orta including yourself, success will definitely happen 👍
In my opinion, the group dynamic is one of the most important parts of the success of Kenyan training!
Thank you!

Just run dude. Run in your job a little bit, run in your home when you get back or even outside if you can.
such a poor excuse. Running does not cost money
@@Jubdasit cost time didn't u see? He has a job and maybe didn't have enough time
@Jubdas wow real sensitive and productive dude
My God.. literally a village of 2:10 guys. Iten, literally gods country. Amazing people.
I was supposed to comment that lol what a lineup haha
It really is amazing. One of the best running experiences I ever had 🙏🏻
Their easy runs at 3:30 and we struggle to maintain such pace for a few kilometers, it's really impressive. Some great content as always
Thanks for watching! Appreciate it
I could keep up with them for around 1800-1900M maybe 2km but that’s pushing it
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Absolutamente !!! Admiro profundamente esa genética única que tienen y no menos importante esa humildad que llevan en inmersos en su genes 🙌
I might be able to keep up for 500 meters on a GOOD day 😅
My 7:40-8:10 mile pace easy💀

What a passion, keep going guys! You all inspire me. Can't wait for the next episodes and also the post-running routine👍
Great to hear! Thanks for watching!
Thank you
Love the Kenyan series ,amazing.
One thing is for sure, you don't want a zombie outbreak to start in Kenya. You don't wanna see a zombie running 3:30/k.
😅🧟

@@SmIuffy You did good even though you didn’t make 35 min. Running slightly over 35 minutes is really good. Next time you will go sub 34:30 I am sure.

Thanks Nabil! We will consider other languages for sure 🙏🏻
Don't know if it's the new season or the soft dirt roads, but looks like you've gotten stronger at the same paces even going uphill! Nice!
I definitely felt a bit stronger and in good shape this time around. Hopefully it pays off haha
What a great series of videos! Looking forward to next week's episode.

I’m not a natural runner, currently injured but you are all inspiring me to get back to it. Thank you.
What’s happened to Rainbow?
Hi Luis. Just discovered your channel. Really enjoying this Kenya series, particularly given I have just finished a book on Iten and Kenyan running. I look forward to further content - new subscriber :)
Hi Adam, thanks for watching. Did you? That's awesome 😄
Hey Adam! Thanks for watching! I’ll have to check out your book! Do you live in Kenya? Maybe we can link up next time we’re there
My 5k PR is like 3:20/km and these guys doing this as an easy run 😂
Frrrrrrrr
When Sammy Rotich said “10km in 29…” I was on some “that’s my PR for 5km 😩”
It's not like they ran the whole thing @ that pace. Most of the run looked to be closer to 3:50/km, dare I say even slower than that.
But 3'30" can't be easy run let's maybe say moderate for distance runners because it's close to race pace 3:00-3:20/km. Off which they are switching pace at first they look slower around 4min/km which they changed later during their run.
😂😂
I hope one day to be as fast as you, you're an inspiration
