Fantastic work on the Fire Dragons loads of orange work went into those miniatures. I wouldn't have a problem with someone calling their Flamer a Pike for game purposes
Beautiful orange that you got there! I am actually painting my own Craftworld using orange! Although I am doing my first true work with airbrush, transitioning from Mephiston Red to Bloody Red from Game Color to finally Trollslayer! Doing cenital highlight with the trollslayer and undershadow with the mephiston red (keeping the feet fully red). And it is a combination that look pretty similar to your work, with more contrast. It looks really nice, and mixed with off whites also gives a very nice desaturated orange similar to the Fire Dragon Bright, but with less yellow subtone. So true the metal part, I still have some old hammer dwarfs around and the poor lads have grown silver in their beards with the age lmao. I hope GW will rework the remaining Aspect warriors, i need warp spiders!! Still, with beautiful works like yours make me consider them anyway, even if the sculpts are old... So I agree with you, the Fire Dragons do have (imo) the best one of the remaining. They do not suffer from weird proportions that much, neither from having the same pose or unreadable helmet. Have i said i want the warp spiders remade already? haha
