I still make mistakes when I sew, which I've been doing for almost 60 years, so I was prepared to have to pull sweaters apart that were not working out. A typical sweater for me is ripped back, sometimes to the neckline (top down) three or four times, and that is after getting gauge.
Yup! Welcome to hand-making, right? But then we eventually get the perfect fit, unlike buying garments in a store. 😘 K&J
Hi everyone! Sorry I missed you, but catching up now with all the lovely projects! 🩷
I was so bummed to miss the zoom. Thank you again for putting together this KAL! It was wonderful. ❤
So glad I was able to knit and watch everyone involved in this zoom. It is great to have everyone share their yarn projects. I am working on the shawl pattern- 4 ever in blue jeans by Cally Monster. I’m using fingering yarn from our local yarn shop- Yarn Divas - the navy is 100% Falklands merino and the contrasting colour is from Yarn Ink - super wash merino - the col is brilliant yellow- Peel?
Sounds AMAZING! Tag us or email us a pic so we can see it! 😘 K&J
I have my yarn and Ankers summer pattern but my queue did not allow me to start- story of my life, a day late and a dollar short- lol! Loved the fun of this episode.
It's never too late. You'll knit it when it's the perfect time for YOU! 😘 K&J
My favourite episode 😄
Kim, Jonna, I emailed you my address. Thank you for an amazing KAL! I don't have real life knitting friends, podcasts are all I have and KAL is a top level of having a yarn friends for me ❤
Me too!
Hope you received your prize by now! 😘 Kim & Jonna
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna I sure did and I love it a lot 😄 thank you so much!
Even though I didn't participate in the KAL, I found this very helpful. I learned some good tips about the patterns and I am more likely to try one now. Thanks to all of you on the Live video.
So fun!🤩 next KAL, I’m IN!!!!!🎉
Yay!!!
I didn’t participate in the KAL but I appreciate you sharing this. So inspiring to see all the great knits and ideas if people had issues.
Your participant who said she is a size 5 in the front and a 4 in the back could combine the instructions and end up with a sweater that has a larger front than back (just an old sewing trick).
Thanks for sharing. I was so sorry to miss the show & tell. Loved seeing what all you ladies made. Delightful. X
Thanks for sharing this. Love seeing everyone’s knitting 🧶
Thanks for this great show and tell. I'm sorry I couldn't join live. But it was great to see the projects. I knit the Oslo sweater in Julie Asselin Leizu DK yarn. Didn't hold any mohair with it. This is my second Petite Knits project - the Anker Summer shirt a couple years ago was my first. Hopefully by the time you have another knit a long I will have figured out how to post things on Instagram by myself. As for chat groups in Ravelry - I have no idea how to do that. Knitting is great. Technology Is what I need to work on. But I'm learning. My goal this year is to post on Instagram once a week or so. Hopefully before too long I'll be able to do that without help!
Hi Gabriele,
Technology can definitely be challenging. What's your Instagram? We'd love to follow you... 😘 Kim & Jonna
The mobi sweater sounds interesting! Loved all the sharing of your knits❤️
Really sorry that I missed the ''show and tell'' (will definitely put a reminder on my phone next time). I enjoyed seeing everyone's projects and hearing their input. I knitted several Petitknit patterns I did the champagne cardigan, 2 Sophie Scrafs (as Christmas gifts), the weekend slipover and the weekend slipover v-neck and finally the novice pullover. I really enjoy Petitknit patterns and love her simplistic style. Thank you for hosting the KAL, I enjoy your podcasts and always look forward to watching them.
Wait... You knitted ALL OF THOSE PATTERNS during our KAL??? 😂 Kim & Jonna
I too love Tosh! Her tutorials are great. 😊
Thank you brilliant KAL. I made a Storm sweater, which I have worn constantly since casting off as we have had a cold damp winter in Glasgow Scotland. Most of my knits are acres of stocking stitch / stockinet, so all that texture was new to me. Delighted with all the inspiration and encouragement. May have a go at the Champagne cardigan for next winter. ❤x PS I posted on the Ravelry thread about issues with the sleeves, thank you for your kind offers of help. I trusted the pattern, repositioned my stitch makers and all was well.
Hi Karen,
Thank you so much for joining us! 😘 Kim & Jonna
I loved seeing this - I knit several petit knits during the KAL but never posted. I did an Oslo hat, 2 Sunday Sweaters using the Snefnug held with mohair for my DILs for Christmas - came out beautifully. Then i knit the zippered light junior - Kim I used the 27 color pack from Blue Sky fibers with gray for all the ribbing - came out great - of course the 27 minis were not enough so ordered additional. Loved watching this video and seeing what folks made. Love your podcast!
Wow! You were so productive! And great idea about the minis. I'll have to keep that in mind... 😘 Kim
Really enjoyed your zoom episode. I also watch Tash and love both of your podcasts.
I love these Show and Tells, so interesting seeing others peoples knits and hearing their successes but also failures. Carmen @lamanchaknitter You are not alone! I try to keep the modification to a minimum but often have to make (frog and remake) my garments multiple times. There is only one cardigan that I knitted that I was 100% happy with and didn't need to rework. Thank you so much for sharing your struggles, I am there with you!
I hate I missed the show and tell! But, I was totally wiped out, mentally and physically after having 3 grandsons overnight! 😮
Completely understandable. Next time...
😘 K&J
So fun! I keep forgetting that I actually did make something for the KAL. lol! I knitted my son an Oslo hat for Christmas. I made it in that lovely Pascuali Tibetan, 2 skeins. I forgot how everyone was saying it ran big, so I made a size large. And I ran out of yarn! So the very tippy top of the hat is in some leftover Brooklyn Tweed yarn in a stone color. He wears it a whole lot, and it's holding up just great! It actually fits him pretty well, plus he says he loves hats to be big. Which is good, cause it is. He sometimes wears his big headphones under it, and that look makes him look like Toad from Mario Brothers. lolol! A little toadstool or mushroom! Sorry I missed the zoom!
😂 Love this! 😘 K&J
