I just put the holy headers on yesterday and oh my god I can't believe the difference in response! the sound is wild too but the instant boost just blew my mind.

Marz I'd say they're slightly louder. They're equal length versus unequal length of the stock headers - so yes, different sound profile. They give some additional power, better flow, quicker spool, and are all around healthier for the engine.
Just the info I need, i bought the max ve as well for my sti, currently in process to finish the build (600whp+ rotated turbo 6062 with closed deck and built heads, etc all the goodies) I cant wait to hear the difference.

Carlos Suarez I got my Cobb flex fuel kit installed almost immediately after it was released. It put down 420whp and 417wtq on TPG Tuning's Mustang dyno.
unknowncip So far so good! It runs just as well as it didn't stock. I am on a fairly consecutive tune, so that probably helps. A good tune and proper maintenance goes a long way. I also don't beat the shit out of mine either, haha.

Hey man happy new year's eve! I have a question. So my car is running E85 now with a Down Pipe of course. I am having trouble really getting used to the EL header sound with the muffler deletes... it's extremely loud. I still have my OEM muffler axle back set. Can I swap my nameless performance muffler delete axle back for the OEM axle back without throwing off the tune?
Carlos Suarez Thanks! You too! Yessir, you can swap anything catback without having to worry about your tune. I ran a straight pipe for the hell of it for it away and didn't care for the sound. I'd recommend a nice aftermarket catback to get a nice amount of loudness and a good tone.
ItWasDestiny thanks!! well my current turbo back set up is a cobb catted downpipe, nameless muffler delete catback.. I was asking you the question above because my plan is to switch my NP axle back for my OEM in the mean time, sell my NP muffler delete axle back ans repurchase a nameless performance axle back... either one with a 4" muffler or a 5" muffler, idk which one yet lol. I guess I am a baby since I can't withstand the noise lol I also think the killer b el sound is something that's contributing since I am not used to not having the rumble lol.
Carlos Suarez I'd say just go with the 5" muffler if you're concerned with noise. You'll still have plenty of good sounding exhaust out of that. It does take a little bit to get used to.

I got Cobb's flex fuel setup as soon as it came out for the GD STis a few years ago actually! It put down 425/430 on E60.

I just drove my car with the VE max for the first time today and went thru the Lehigh tunnel as well, sounds pretty much identical.
