Here I am, watching videos listening to a killer b header. Why I'm not sure, when I can go out to the garage, start up mine and go for a drive. I just might do that to get rid of my killer b hard on.
I see this somehow keeps a slight UEL buzz to it at low RPM but thats boxer design at the end of the day. Overall sounds nice with zero drawback at the end of the day.
I've been watching an ungodly amount of exhaust/header videos, unable to decide on the exhaust and EL or UEL headers but damn this sold me. I'm envious, that sounds absolutely sick.
Killer B EL’s such as these are the highest quality header on the market, if you can swing the cost these are a absolute must, they are extremely well built

I had a similar setup but found the Corsa got much higher pitched, and a lot louder with the ELH. Do you have the hatch or the Sedan? With the Hatchback when I had the Corsa and went ELH it droned a lot, especially around town.
+Yan Manelis (Yanbags) You can always have the EWG dump tube reroute back into the downpipe so there is no EWG noise. I'm running an EWG on my 14 STI and I love the increased boost control, even on the stock turbo. Still need to have my EWG reroute back to my downpipe. Sounds amazing, but I can get a little obnoxious haha.

To be honest I can't really remember; I don't have the car anymore. The headers were definitely the part that made it way louder and raspier. The Corsa was designed really well for minimal/no drone but I would still expect it to be noisy.

Hey man question. I have this same microphone and there's a lot of interference noise. Did you have this issue? It's on a GoPro hero 4 silver. Sounds like if your phone rings next to a computer speaker.
Dusty Thibodaux are you using any sort of wind noise reducer? I have a nice fluffy reducer that helps a lot. The little foam that came with the camera didn't work as well. IMO it's a must have if you're mounting the mic outside. Also don't mount it too close to the exhaust tips.
Have the same setup on my 2017 STI. Sounded perfect with the stock headers. Installed the Killer B Headers along with various other modifications and it got LOUD. 2600-3050rpm cruising was unbearably loud (not droning) in the cabin. Replaced the resonator with two Vibrant Ultra Quiets, and now it’s perfect! Very tame until you step on it. It always reels in the compliments!
Oh wow! why did you sell it? it sounded amazing. That's good that it didn't have issues. I currently own a 2017 STI and I am going to mod it to run e85 with killer B's holy headers. I heard that it other than the performance aspect, it helps prevent overhearing in 2 cylinders and ultimately "ringland failure". Any tips to keep the car running like a champ once I modify? It was my dream car from childhood but I've come to realize that it didn't suit my needs as much as I wanted it to. I started getting faster and faster on track as I gained seat time and quickly realized the STI just wasn't meant to do it. It felt heavy and that also translates to higher consumables cost (brakes/tires). It's a FANTASTIC street car/daily driver/winter warrior and I do miss it in that aspect. I kinda got bored of it and switched it up to a lightweight RWD platform. Picked up a new BRZ as a replacement. Compared to my STI, the bone-stock BRZ driving dynamics feel quite a lot better and it feels a LOT more at home on the racetrack. So far I'm absolutely loving it but I'm not going as crazy with modifications. You're on the right track - it will equalize cylinder temps. If I were to do it all over again - the Killer B ELH would be my first mod. After installing them, I was able to run more boost safely along with having much lower EGTs on track. I don't have access to E85 close to me so I don't have experience with it, but I hear it's a riot. Pair it with a downpipe and tune from a reputable tuner and you'll love the car for sure.
Yanbags I have heard that awd cars such as the one you chose is hell of fun. I share the same story, it is my dream car that's why I want it to last. When I purchased it, I had no idea about the reported issues with the engine. it's a bummer but I do understand why subaru uses those types of cylinders. It leaves us buyers with uncertainty which I bet not many people are fans of. I hope to keep the car as much as I can! and that it doesn't pop on me. If it does, I'll have to think about the rebuild very carefully haha. What do you think about Evos? I heard that they could be better for mods.
Honestly, IMO the STI motor issues are mostly blown out of proportion. There's tons of people modifying them incorrectly and abusing them - then they complain about Subaru and the engine, etc. You can't expect reliability when pushing the motor beyond factory specs. EVOs are great cars - faster out of the box than the previous generations of STIs, but they are awfully uncomfortable street cars. I've also heard that power gains are easier and cheaper to attain with them.

I've seen that the catback has a lot to do with it.
3 month lead time on the Killer B for me. Man I can not wait! This video pushed me over the edge from "someday" to "right now!". Absolutely amazing.

I can imagine this setup with a JDM EJ207. That, combined with the 8k RPM redline would be UNGODLY!
