May want to mention limited vs unlimited coils and how a limited coil when the RPMs hit the limit it sounds like 4 cycle (Flutter). Have to be careful to not assume a limited coil is on flutter if it's on the limiter of the coil... .could be getting not enough fuel in that scenario. You can put the saw into wood and tune it to flutter while under load in the wood and well below the coil limit and then lean it until you get roar in the wood but well below the coil rpm limit. I always try to run unlimited coils as it makes tuning much easier (by ear and with a tach... no worries about the limit!)
Good video! The sound of my saw changes while I'm cutting. It will sound smooth and the gargle or flutter and then go back to smooth sounding as I'm cutting. Is it getting to much fuel? Im a newbie and have an Stihl MS 181 c. Im weary about about fiddling around with trying to tun it but may give it a go
Lou, that is the simplest but most complete chainsaw tuning video I've ever seen. Great job! Those tachs make much easier to do!
Straight and to the point. Awesome job, Lou.
Somehow, i ended up on your channel. Found it to be very informative, to the point!. Loved it !!! Just subscribed! ❤

Excellent video. Good quality, concise content. What are you using for exhaust hose? Is there a far end fan?
I am using a dust collector that vents outside

Don't leave that old harbor freight screwdriver out in the sun. On a hot day they turn into pudding...

I ran across a Stihl 021 MS250 and it doesn't have any adjustment on the high speed jet.

Sounds like an air leak.
Great video Thanks!
Can you show generator running/rebuild carbs
Carbs are so cheap, I just buy new.
My husky ms240 has a wet spark arrestor cover. I suspect low or high jet is set to lean?
Never thought to mark the screwdriver…… nice
Thanks for the video
Well-Done
Why does the tach in your video look different than the one you put in the link?
Why does it matter?
Do they make chainsaw for lefties ?
I’m a leftie and I just switch my hands around but eventually I learned how to do it right handed
