JOURNEY into MONGOLIA

I went on a solo adventure into western Mongolia with Indy Guide (indyguide.com) to explore what this amazing part of the country had to offer and visit the eagle hunters of the region, I was not disappointed. The views were on another level, especially in the Altai mountains but the Kazahk people were just extremely welcoming and open which made the experience one to remember. Staying with a different family each night, experiencing their daily routines and eating and drinking with them. We continued to make our way around the west, attending the Nauryz eagle festival and exploring some of the snowy mountains in the Altai by horseback. Filming my adventure through Mongolia was extremely tough, we were on the move constantly and electricity is hard to come by so I relied on power banks a lot to charge my camera, being from Africa i'm not used to temperatures as low as -20 degrees celsius during this time of the year and of course the language barrier but I thoroughly enjoyed the every moment and it was one of the most raw feelings of travel I have experienced.
Thanks to Ati Tosun from Indy-Guide for making this trip such a success in terms of an adventure, I hope this video gives a small insight into what is to be expected when visiting this part of the world.

I am Kazakh but at the same time Mongolian since I hold citizenship of Mongolia. And I am proud to be Mongolian.
Even we have some problems regarding civilization, I can say that Mongolia is a very democratic country compared to some other developed countries. Such developed countries like the USA have racism toward Afro Americans, China toward Kazakhs and Uyghurs, Russia to Central Asian people, etc.
Living as an ethnic group with preserving your own tradition is such a blessing and shows the greatness of that country regardless of social development.
Also, I am sure that every ethnic Kazakh living here happy to be called Mongolian Kazakh.
In the end, we are all humans and it is enough reason for us to be kind to each other regardless of our country, language, tradition, education, color

In a troubled turbulent world, I play this to sooth my aching soul. It never fails to give me hope. I live on a ranch and the everyday actions in this are my world, without the superb music and editing! Its snowing right now and I'm going out to feed the "afternoon bowls" of horse pellets and vitamins we give daily, plus put on another set of coats. My 80 year old husband and I (70), have two rescue equines: a one-eyed donkey and a 30 year old mule from the Sierra Madre mountains of Mexico. Its taken 10 months for that mule to trust us. She is a Bullrush Morgan mule who looks just like the mongolian ponies in this film. She is a12 hand pony with myriad scars on her body and soul. I play this for her and it helps sooth her soul also. So you have a mule in your fan club! Maureen in New Mexico USA
