Put front rails on blocks of wood when you drop dumpsters off. Will help. Let the dumpster pull the truck under the dumpster. Believe me it works. I worked for the original designer of the roll off trailer in NY. For 13yrs. He designed this type trailer over 25yrs ago. Sold 1 at auction and next thing you know you got that boat design trailer. Tri Den Inc. Is original designer. I made couple of trailer for him and the dumpsters in house. You can also look up affordable dumpsters in Albany ny area and see the original design at work.
Josh, great video as always and yes I am still looking and watching your videos. Still working on putting a business plan together. Much appreciated for all your hard work and information! Keep if flowing bro!!
The NTMWD Land fill in Melissa, Texas on highway 121 is a great landfill to work with. They separate dumping trailers from those that don’t. This becomes an express lane for us. I dumped 3 times on 3/09/21 and was first in line all 3 times. They charged me $40 per ton. I really like your channel. Good luck to you.
I’ve been to Melissa once, loved it and second best rate after McComas but it’s very very far for me. If it were closer, that would be my main go to in a heart beat!
I go there too sometimes when I’m in the area it used to be $32 per ton a while back damn everything is going up my dumpster prices need to go up too lol
@@AmericanAFDumpsters my main landfill is Denton it’s $44 per ton usually really fast but last few days everybody and their momma is at the landfill I only made it twice it took me 2 hours each time
I’m a manager for a National HVAC company. I have no problem paying $500 - $750 a week for a dumpster. If that helps you with pricing. Oh. I manage Houston, San Antonio and Austin for my market. I know I’m paying above average but the guy I use in each city is very reliable and dependable which makes it worth it for me. Also know I include dumpster fees in my quotes to my customer so I usually charge them $850 to give me some extra margin.
As far as the long term rentals goes you just have to decide if you want that to be part of your business model. Now that you have roll offs I would consider including it. I’ll shoot you a PM.
For the commercial accounts, why not just add together 7 day, 3-day, 5-day, rental prices for however many days they keep it. For example...8 to 10 days would be the 7 day price and the 3 day price. 11 to 12 days... 7 day and 5 day price. may keep the customers happier than if charging a full extra seven days. I'm in the process of looking for a truck as the first step in starting a roll-off business. Moving to Tennessee next year and going to be starting it up there. Hopefully the area I'm moving to, keeps me busy.
I appreciate you making this . im trying to get started in north ga . you have answered every question iv had so far with your video's. Keep up all your hard work my friend i look forward to watching your businesses and channel grow
Great video, thank you!
My pleasure sir!
What's the GVW of the truck? What's the GVW of the trailer?

What is a transfer station
I try and put 2x10 under the back wheels especially in dirt and always put a board under the front crossways to keep that front end up.
Yes sir you are 100% correct, it helps! I have been doing that now and it makes the world of difference.

where did you get the stickers from and where did you grt your Rent Me decals on your dump trailer
www.wastestickers.com and the decals are from a local sign shop
How do you keep your dumpsters from being stolen?
Good info brother keep up the good work!
Appreciate it!
If they go over on weight, do you mark up the dump fee to make up for extra fuel?

U have cdl?
Nope!
Time is your worst enemy. I just adjusted my over tonage price to cover the extra dump fees.
I have literally upped my overage charge to $75/ton, no complaints so far from any customers. Best of luck to you brother!
@@AmericanAFDumpsters How many tons do you include in the standard fee?
Can you use a roll off to dumpster for dirt/gravel etc?
I believe so but I would do it in a small 10 and 15 yard dumpster only, not in a 20 yard.
How were u able to get to dropping boxes on Dallas?
Just did it!
Did lanstar help you understand the loading process when you bought the system with there style of equipment .
Unfortunately, not at all....

Yes! It has worked out very well for me. I am glad I didn't ignore the quote request.
When I was doing roll offs I had a good mix. The long term rentals are good “keep the lights on money”

Simple is better, working on long term pricing changes but not yet. Thanks for the watch and comment!
Great sticker company! Got mine there as well. I got those big sheets as well. Just waiting for the weather to warm up so they will stick.
What company did the stickers?

Are you using the same insurance?
And do they offer general liability insurance?
No progressive offers commercial insurance and the GL is another company.
@@AmericanAFDumpsters the GL is located in AZ?
Is that a 15 or 20 yard? Also, u got a 3500 or 2500?
Be careful with those partially full relocates. Unless you charge an appropriate fee for the relocate, they can take the profit out of both hauls.
Oh I agree 100%, but $350 for a relocate is way more than worth the extra time!
Bro just buckle your seat belt you didn’t have to buy that dummy clip. Can’t wait till I get up to the roll off level. Great content as usual!
Haha true but it's much more helpful when I don't want to wear that damn thing haha
Bro. You look like the guy who smacked that disrespectful dude with the beer can.
Not sure if thats a compliment or an insult but either way I appreciate the watch and comment lol
I think it would be better if you left the truck in reverse
Literally did that for the first time today, that and I sprayed the rails with lubricant and it made a HUGE difference.
What’s up with no seat belt???
Buckle up buttercup!!!
Bro go find some other channel to stalk and harass!!! 😂
Please man no more Trump stickers on the truck. He ain't even cool.
