Thank you for your videos! Brings back bitter sweet memories. My late husband & I drove a lot of Northwest runs. Been years since I've been out there. I miss the runs and the beautiful scenery! You definitely bring a smile to this old lady!! Be SAFE in your travels!
Awesome scenery and an Awesome Driver!!! Thanks for taking us with you!!!! I really enjoy sitting up in the front with you!!!! Have a Great Weekend!!! 🤗♥️🙏🏼
Glad to see you and a nice relaxing trucker video. Got to sit back and enjoy the scenery. Been watching some others, couldn't handle that nutty traffic. Diesel was close to 5 here last week after a 60 cent hike in 3 days, probably well over 5 now. Just keeping the Ram in the garage and staying home. I'll ride shotgun with you. By the way. Way down yonder on the Chattahoochee is one of my favorite songs, Alan Jackson.
Beautiful scenery ... my grandson is learning to drive ... I am going to have him watch this video -- good comments on how you are driving in that type of road condition. Also... I like driving behind trucks on long-distance drives .... no one wants to cut in front of me. However, after watching your videos, I now realize that doing that might irritate truck drivers -- I will try not to do that any more -- at least not too much!! Thanks so much for these videos -- so enjoyable.
Good Morning Good Morning to you. I'm glad to see you back on the road & with another great video. I really enjoy the beautiful view from inside your truck office. Be safe out there. God bless.
HI MIKE, BE SAFE ON THOSE PASSES. YOU ARE IN MY PRAYERS AS WELL AS ALL OVER THE ROAD DRIVERS. HOPE YOUR AMILY IS DOING WELL ALSO. WOULD LOVE TO BE RIDING IN THE PASSER SIT TO SEE THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY AS YOU SEE IT. BE WELL
Thanks for the reminders. When I was much younger I would travel along Hwy 50 to go fishing with my dad and brothers. After I got out of the Army I moved to Gunnison where I attended Western State. The memories of traveling this road are pretty good, thanks for showing this route. I live in New Mexico now so I seldom see snow.
Mike, I love how you sign off your videos, with the "PEACE!". I had a very good friend I met online in a game, his name was Brian, he lived in Florida and I lived in Seattle. We eventually ended up being roommates after I moved to Idaho, but he used to use the same gesture and very similar enunciation of the word as you do, so watching your YT channel always brings my buddy Brian fondly back to mind. Sadly, Brian passed several years ago (2018), so reminders of the years we spent together are very welcome.
12 degrees makes that snow crunchy and surprisingly there's traction. Love Monarch Pass area, there is, or at least used to be, a great campground just north of 50 about halfway up the pass. As someone that also used to drive for a living in Colorado well done! You have skills, my friend.
I thoughly enjoy riding shotgun virtually, but would make a very poor physical passenger !!! Your routes take you through the areas where my late husband's adult children and their families live so I can see how much the landscape has changed or not changed. I also understand why my Godson can't watch these videos now, as a former truck driver himself he says watching these are as exciting as watching paint dry ! Hahaha ! I watch them to understand what to expect and how to react when I'm in front of or behind a semi under these conditions. I worked the oilfields of the northwest until about 10 years ago when I moved to North Dakota. Thank you so much for making these videos !!!
It's on point on how you drive them roads I learned at young age from my granda and good set tires make all the difference it's all about the feel for the road and paying attention to your surroundings
Yeah, I did that trip in the Summer some years back. Wonderful scenery! Had a great lunch in Salida and got chased by a couple of low-flying C-130 planes east of Gunnison!! Took CO 92 to Hotchkiss and Delta and then back on US 50 to Grand Junction. I could spend every Summer travelling in that country! Stay safe!!
I lived in Gunnison for four years but grew up in Pueblo. I live in New Mexico now after traveling to different parts of the US and to two other continents.
Hell ya killer view mountain man mike ,I'm 3rd generation colorado native born in Montrose colorado in 1972 family born and raised in olathe and delta and sapinero up the hill from Blue Mesa resivoir moved to the springs in 82
Have been waiting for another road trip. Seems like it’s been awhile 😁Finished all of your other videos so have been patiently waiting 😁 Stay safe on that snow !
We’ll be arriving from the U.K. in 4 weeks, driving my beloved Chevy suburban from SFO via Carson city then highway 50 to Ely, heading east via Yellowstone and eventually via Vale and Durango before heading back to SFO via monument valley, I’m so looking forward to it and watching this with the coaching on driving is reassuring. We have driven before on parts of the route in summer but I’m preparing for a little snow just incase. Thanks for taking the time to post
I have driven Hwy 50 thru Canon City and over the pass through Blue Mesa and all the way to Grand Junction so many times I lost count! Love the drive! Used to work safety for CHCA. We raced at a quarry road near Garfield and a race at Lands End. Keep the greasy side down!
I love this stretch of road, have driven it many times back and forth between Delta, Pueblo, or The Springs! 4hrs - 4 1/2 hrs from Pueblo to Montrose. My dad, who was a native Coloradoan and long time trucker taught me to never hang out by another vehicle, so that's one of my pet peeves too! I would love to see a video of Gunnison to Montrose. Always nice to ride along Mike! Be Safe out there!
My new Lab just took his first swim on the river the other day. Like a duck. Off that second campground you passed. This summer I'll show him rock diving
Love your ride alongs to a retired "Mtn Man in the Desert"....I get to visit my hone towns and see how they changed.....Poncha Spgs, Salida, Leadville. Monarch......I drove those roads all my life...a lot of memories on those roads....thx....the Peoples Convoy drove by my house in Golden Valley Az.....see my video....fished the Arkansas all my life too....now you have to pay to fish it!
I ride shotgun with you about 6 hrs a day! It's like a free bus trip with pleasant conversation! I'm retired so have plenty of time to ride. Keep on truckin!
Trailer Park Boys was funny as hell when Mike Clattenburg was directing it; the first 7 seasons or so. BTW, that view at around 14:00, getting the first view of the northern tip of the Sangre de Cristos, is incredible!
I retired from the road and just recently moved to north central Washington and some really cold weather. What surprised me was that once the cold weather set in the snow on the hills was not a problem. Our temps ranged from -5 to the low 20s for two months. The only times I had any problems with our hilly driveway and road was early before it got really cold and late as the temp started getting around 30
Hi Mike…suggestion on the sweet tea…I had same problem…order half and half ( half sweet & half unsweetened). Been working for me for years. If you’re eating in the restaurant & what they bring is still too sweet, have them refill with only unsweetened when it’s half empty. ENJOY!
As a former Leadville resident all I can say is more power too you. I do not miss winter in the Colo. high country. I think that all of the snowbirds here in Tucson have the right idea .
Driven that highway many times. Canon city is my home town. Thanks for the memories
Simply beautiful!
Great to see you back again, its been a while.
More luscious winter mountain scenery. Never. Gets. Old. Thanks again, Mike.
It is beautiful country.
Welcome back Mike! I love riding shotgun with you. No worries, and gorgeous scenery to boot!
What a beautiful drive this morning, Mike. Wonderful to see the CO mtns with all their winter glory and that CO blue sky. Great way to start the day.
I live in Colorado and the sky is the prettiest blue for some reason. I've been all over the country and nothing beats the Colorado blue sky
I agree
My thumbs always out and up to catch the ride with you......I miss Colorado.
Oh goody. Another trip. Woohooo
I was just thinking about you man and then this just popped up! Yes! What a great scenery!

Enjoyed the drive as usual . TY. MMM God bless you
Nice to have you back, great videos! Cheers from Toronto
Thanks for the ride, I love your narration about your driving techniques and other people's driving. Driving slow and scared is dangerous.
Thanks Ernie .

I've dredge the Arkansas river your driving by and have only gotten flake gold out of it, and Monarch is one of my favorite ski area's after Keystone
