Funny, it said it in the instructions manual 😅 Used red grease at first but changed to a dry lube. With 80% of my work on dirt roads, sticky red turned in to crunchy brown in a day... not good.. A dry lube worked excellent and my jib runs smooth! 🤠👍

Was the inside dumpster slightly skinnier? The more i try and picture this the more it screws with my mind if theyre the same size.

Too many failure points have been added by using this device. First off is the bolt head used to stop the anti-bounce feature air bag. That can snap off or shear the metal it goes through. Then theres the added leverage on the receiver hitch on your truck due to the extended length (like putting a pipe on a pipe wrench to give it more torque). Then there's the added stress points on all the plate holes where the pins pass through. All in all, you're relying on an unknown engineer somewhere who designed this device who may not realize the type terraine you operate on. I'd put that back in the box and get something else. I'd never trust that thing, just on the basic appearance of the design. Its an accident waiting to happen. Somebody is making money on it though, to be sure. You want to limit stress in this area, not increase it. Even flaws in metallurgy could become catestrophic. If towing one should stick with the tried and true. Reinventing the wheel is not necessarily good.

I think many of the generation of TH-cam channels during COVID glorified dumpster, trailer rental, and junk removal. They really pushed the high gross income per day and week. This channel and the current similar ones don't try to glorify the industry. But, it's easy for a viewer to still over simplify the job. A real day or week gets compressed and edited down to 30-45 minutes of the interesting topics.

Very cool hitch! Very tempted to go hook lift trailer before hook lift truck when the time comes! Only thing I’m worried about is the engine loudness on the trailer..feel like I might upset a few people at early and late picks/drops..

What does your trailer weigh without a dumpster?

Have one for gooseneck and bumper pull. Use them all the time! Work great. Still on first air bag on the bumper hitch after probably a good 3 yrs of hard use. Have spares just in case too

Sounds cheaper to go get your cans and leave the contents on the property where it belongs until they decide to pay whoever that is going to haul it away.

If you had to drop off a big truck dumpster, could you do it in a bind with that trailer?

I know this was a while back but we’re you doing that part time ? About how many hours a week were you working like hooking up and hauling vs hours a week handing out cards and trying to hustle more business ? Do you track how many estimates you close percentage wise ?

Just seeing this video. Experiencing the same. Had a single day record and record month for July. Currently +36% YOY vs last July(Still one day left in month). This despite going on vacation, rain all last week and some downtime on one truck. This week has been slow though and I am scratching my head. Like someone just turned the faucet off. It always seems to be like that though. WOT then someone pumps the brakes. Grateful for the money I have made this month though. Paid for two new 20 yards cash. Time to get caught up on maintenance and rest up for the next wave. Both my trailers and all of my cans are paid off. Very low overhead as an owner operator. I am competitively priced, but there are still guys charging less. Most of them are part time though and that is why they can charge so little. While everyone else seems to be going into debt and buying trucks right now, I am playing it safe and sitting on my cash to see how the next 7-10 months play out with the election, economy and this new wave of part timers.
