I sense this means changing violin strings is worse? I don't play violin, but from what I understand violin strings 1) are extremely expensive and 2) don't need changing that often? I swear my guitar strings sound horrid after just a couple of months... They need changing regularly, and I play classical guitar (my serious instrument), electric guitar (my fun instrument) and acoustic guitar (my Wonderwall instrument for parties). Gets tedious changing the strings all the time. Not sure which is worse - violin or guitar!
@@semanticsamuel936 have you ever touched a violin? All strings on violin are super high tension, so high that you will need to twist the entire violin to tune sharp at some point, because the tuning machines will be so stiff from all the tension.
I tried to tune a violin and all the strings were so stiff. I got to the e string and struggled so much to tune it. I would try to turn the nob to make it higher but it stopped being able to twist. It was so close to being correct but then SNAP. Broke the string and almost took my eye out. I’ve now replaced the string and it has been a while, but every time I try and tune it, it just untwists itself.
Because the high e sometimes breaks while tuning them so thats why you need glasses to protect your eye while tuning if a string breaks hits your eye and you may become blind so this is genius being safe from a string bring
The true horror is when u buy a new pack of picks and when u go to get a new one because u either lost one or it wore down u discover that u dont remember where u put the new pack u bought.
Tip: when tuning the high E string, give the string some before tuning it higher again. You'll let the string stretch out a bit giving it some kind of warm up Don't just rush until you reach high E because the sudden stretch on the string will usually make it snap.

2. Tune inside to out, alternating each side (e.g., 3rd, 4th, 2nd, 5th, 1st, 6th).

Haha I play both and I’m still scared as helllll😂😂
I tried to tune a violin and all the strings were so stiff. I got to the e string and struggled so much to tune it. I would try to turn the nob to make it higher but it stopped being able to twist. It was so close to being correct but then SNAP. Broke the string and almost took my eye out. I’ve now replaced the string and it has been a while, but every time I try and tune it, it just untwists itself.
I once spent an hour trying to figure out what was wrong with my setup, just to realize I didn’t turn the volume knob on my guitar
7:05 and thats how we lose our picks
drunken sailor playing at the end😭
3:26 As someone who has broken a string on their hand this made my heartrate go nuts
With the subtitles saying
"Here comes the blood and I say..."

PozterTizer yeeeeeeees

i just got my first guitar and my high e makes strange sounds as i tune it so i just end up going "ah yes, flat e is it!"
You forgot the scariest one of them all, discovering a crack in the fretbaord D:

@@turolretar thanks larik, very cool!
"Restringing your floyd rose"
That sentence makes me anxious lol
its the damn bloody high e string
tunning till get bloody high E string
capo : hello dearest player, i'm here
I don't need glasses, but I do wear them while putting new strings.
Because the high e sometimes breaks while tuning them so thats why you need glasses to protect your eye while tuning if a string breaks hits your eye and you may become blind so this is genius being safe from a string bring
I mean break
Keyboard is so much friendly instrument after I watched this.
Prostytucjusz how u tune a keyboard 😂
If you tune a piano, there will be 230 strings to tune
@@Bea-jl9lt You don't have to.
Epic profile picture
@@buranflakes i would rather tune 230 strings rather than a high E
4:49 *a n x i e t y*

I took a xanax after that
My heart stopped
I don't even own a guitar yet tuning the high E made me have anxiety
The true horror is when u buy a new pack of picks and when u go to get a new one because u either lost one or it wore down u discover that u dont remember where u put the new pack u bought.

The fact that he went out in the snow to film this deserves a subscription.
Tip: when tuning the high E string, give the string some before tuning it higher again.
You'll let the string stretch out a bit giving it some kind of warm up
Don't just rush until you reach high E because the sudden stretch on the string will usually make it snap.
