  • This video will show you how I replaced the rear struts and stabilizer bar links on a 2004 Lexus ES330 with 160,000 miles. As previously mention with the front strut replacement video, the overall suspension ride was feeling mushy and getting noisy when driving over rough roads. I highly recommend you replace the stabilizer bar links when replacing struts since they wear out out the same rate as the struts. I used the FCS strut brand as the replacement and have been using them for the last few years with zero problems with no noticeable decline in performance. FCS also comes with a lifetime warranty. I'd say FCS is comparable in quality with Gabriel and Monroe.
My electric tools are all Milwaukee 1/2 and 3/8" and use them extensively to make quick work of all repairs. From 12mm on up, I mostly use my 1/2" impact sockets and 12mm on down 3/8" impact sockets.

Hello to my favorite mechanic on TH-cam, quick question do you have a link to bushings for a 1997 camry rear arms right below the struts and also to do a rear main seal ln this 5sfe do you recommend transmission off or motor off? Thanks

Thanks for your support! Here's the link to replace the rear stabilizer bar bushings: th-cam.com/video/wGQL78SWzlU/w-d-xo.html
To replace the engine rear main seal requires separation from the transmission.

That ratcheting wrench you are using in the beginning part of this video a "quad box" wrench? In other words, 4 sizes in 1 wrench? if so what are the 4 sizes on that particular wrench?

Good observation! The wrench is part of a two wrench set and is made by Duratch. Here's the link to the details: amzn.to/4dnV01o

You can set the playback mode of the video to a slower speed. You can do it by changing the video's settings.
