  • This is a brutally honest review of my Ferris ISX 3000 mower after 100 hours. I'm critical of this mower...but also sing its praises and those who have built the mower and the engine. Please checkout my book, "Mind Kill, Rise of The Marauder" at Amazon and Kindle. Be Safe.

    Bought an ISX 2200 this past winter, an amazing suspension! Just glides over the rough spots, you still notice them, but not the bone jarring hits. Turning 70 this fall and this has made such a difference in my mowing experience. I mow about 4-4 1/2 acres.

    Awesome video and information. After watching your video last week had me sold to get a Ferris.
    I recently picked up a one owner 2013 Ferris IS3100Z 61” cut and it’s a incredible machine. Only 397 documented hours. I had a entry level 2015 Cub Cadet RTZ L with 54” cut zero turn and had no mechanical issues with 471 hours just wanting a bigger mower with suspension. My back always bothered me for several days after mowing on the Cadet but a lot less after upgrading to a Vevor suspension seat $300.
    Now my Ferris has the basic Ferris seat but the incredible suspension resolved my back issues. I can now mow an hour faster and comfortably. I will upgrade to a new Trac seat $700 just to make my machine perfect for long term mowing.

    I have the ISX2200. I always use my leaf blower to clean that deck and the mower off after each use. Your machine looks like you go mudding with it. If the grass is that wet, I avoid mowing that day if at all possible. It just creates more ruts in the turf and creates a huge mess. You mentioned "brush hogging" with it and also mentioned "PTO" as referring to a tractor. If you have a tractor with a BH, that may be more appropriate for some of your mowing.

      @maraudermitchelli  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is properly angled, it scalps in the center rear of the deck, my property is rough in areas and if I cut at 3" it scalps. Be safe

    Very nice! And that's a beautiful looking sidearm you're carrying. May I ask what it is? I haven't picked up a 1911 yet but it's on my list.

      Aaron...I'm getting old. I can't remember the model number but it is a SIG 1911 style pistol...she is beautiful. I'll copy why I was wearing it from another comment
      "I did this video last fall, and edited it 6 months later...I was surprised i was caring. So I was a reserve LT in our Sheriff's office for 20 years. I'm a certified law enforcement firearms instructor in New York State...blah blah! Sometimes old habits die hard as I use to carry all the time for business then duty. I've tried to back away from carrying a firearm and was surprised i wore it in this video. Crazy things happen even in my neighborhood, I've awaken to 6 police cars in the street more than once. Sometime I will carry for the animals we do have coyotes and fisher cats. Good questions btw that's a pretty gun, the man that custom made my holster passed away so pretty sad for me to watch. Thank you for asking."
      Thank you Aaron.

      @@maraudermitchelli Nice. I remember that other person questioning your need to carry and just shook my head. I guess some folks are blessed to live where the reality the rest of us face passes them by. I have a Sig P229, among several others, and they make a fine gun. Maybe we can get them to sponsor you too! 😆
