Getting hit with this thing should be an honor at this point, because if he busts it out, it means Kiryu’s decided to take his fight with you seriously
I like the subtle difference in the Brawler Tiger Drop. Kiryu doesn't do a straight ahead punch you can actually see his arm is angled like he swings. It's like he has the basic technique down instinctively but his Brutish method doesn't make it as strong
@Abhishek Rajeshwar there is actually a Tiger Drop in Judge 1 & it's the same as Kiryu & Komaki. The Flux & Tiger Drop ability are different. The QR code should be in the same alleyway in the champion bar district area on the wall corner & scan with drone.
Oh yeah, one more thing for Yakuza 0, during Kuze's final fight, when he activated his qte, Kiryu hits him 5 times, 4 if you fail the QTE, that 4th hit looks as if it's a tiger drop, crouch down, quick blow, straight to the solar plexus like a tiger drop
I’ve noticed that too! What’s key tho is he isn’t actually countering a strike at the time, Kuze hasn’t thrown a punch yet. Maybe he instinctively stumbled into it and it took actually training the move to do it consistently.
@@DrOctagonaduck2 It's really explain how Kiryu learn the Tiger Drop so quick and use it so effective. Bro already kinda pulled it off instinctively before he even meet Komaki. It just didn't do much damage yet since he obviously didn't nail down the technique 100%.
I always considered the tiger drop/parry as an "I'm not having fun anymore" button. I just use it for bosses I don't have fun fighting the regular way to get rid of them fast.
Depends on the player i guess. Some people, like me, really enjoying counter moves like these in fighting games cuz they are badass and feels satisfying to pull off. Just don't spam it too much or the game will start become boring.
How is the Essence Of Dragon King nerfed in 4? RGG GAVE it the deserved damage it should it display. Wrecks an entire health bar. Now 5? Yeah, not that often you can use it.
It's not debatably, it's literally the "I'm not gonna sugarcoat it" version of Y3. It breaks guards and stuns for a few seconds, seconds which you can use to go to the back of the enemy and perform the infamous square, square, triangle, triangle combo. And in Blockuza 3 you want that guard down. "Haha Komaki Parry goes BAM"
Now this is a good documentary. My only complain is that, in kiwami 1, it would be worth saying that it is perhaps the only game where you can parry bullets with the tiger drop.
Something that bothered me about tiger drops is that they're usually overkill (and fun overkill too), but come time to face Amon, you basically need them to survive (except 6 and maybe kiwami 2, if you cheese ex-heat)
You really dont need tiger drop except for kiwami 1 because komaki parry is dogshit there and maybe in yakuza 5 other than that that yakuza 3 and 4 you only need komaki parry and kiwami 2 and 6 you are op bro and 7 we dont talk about 7 and judgment i dont know about that one
I disagree, there's always a way to deal with the amon bosses that isn't just a cheese. Jo amon is a pretty straightforward one in 0 and kiwami, So amon has a pretty good gimmick in the second half, and then pretty much every other one is basic enough where pure skill can get you on the other side.
This is my go-to move when the enemy are kinda annoying with all the dodge or they just block all the time like Blockuza 3. Very challenging to pull off consistently but also very rewarding, it helped me beat some bosses when i was low on health and couldn't risk doing a combo.
Kiryu has the Tiger Drop in Yakuza 0 in the Legend style, it's called "iron fist counter" and it's the same command as the Tiger Drop but you can only use it with the 3rd Heat bar full

Tiger Drop in Gaiden is… well… it's the Tiger Drop, lol. It functions about the same as it did in every game before. It costs ¥3,000,000 and 10,000 Akame Points to buy, and I think it unlocks after around Chapter 3, IIRC.
