They won't. They will strip out that, bowling, fishing, golf, kiwami 2 the ost again, etc. It'll just be a easier game to get through. Personally I'm really enjoying my 100% run of Y3.
Whenever someone mentions how cool the mine fight is I always remember the goofy ass qte where mine hurts his hand on Kiryu's head and Kiryu just dropkicks him.
I mean, it's oddly realistic? Cause your skull is a tough ass nut. Especially the forehead. And Mine hit that shit dead on. He basically punched a Rock full force. But the dropkick was definitely goofy, yes. Kiryu does a whole ass Mario jump in front of Mine.
It's mostly cause of the animation quality to be real, forgetting the dropkick Kiryu does if that whole QTE had Dragon Engine animation quality and impact it'd be sick as hell
If they do kiwami 3, I want more work on the faces and to keep the original feels. I want kiryu to smile like he does in yakuza 3 instead of having a constant angry face like in kiwami 1 and 2. Like, in 3, he's actually happy and calm.
Yakuza 3 is the slice of life of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon franchise. It's the only Yakuza game where Kiryu's truly at peace and that is 3's charm, it's a breath of fresh air (quite literally) for our stoic protagonist. Putting him into scenarios which tears down his rough exterior to show his soft heart. I absolutely adore 3, sure the gameplay is outdated but it still has it's charm that makes it truly unique. Nagoshi you bastard, ya stole my heart with this one
I think most Yakuza games nail the characters. The plot and plot progression can be really bad. I loved Rhikiya so fast but when he died I was just like "....okay" cause I was noticing the pattern of really contrived character deaths to the point where Yasuko's death made me cheer cause I was waiting for Katsuragi to pull out the gun. Why even bother having all the badass moments when Kiryu's just gonna leave the antagonist with a weapon to kill his mates and then not do anything to stop them
I think the reason Mine and Kiryu jump like that in the intro is because they both wanted to hit opponent's head with their knee and momentum from the run.
17:04 Just a quick note on Ishin Kiwami, it did replace the original on the PlayStation Store, meaning the only way to play the OG is through a physical copy.
@MugdhaMahdiShams of course. Like A Dragon games have always been cost-effective. It's plausible that they could have made it in that time frame given but just barely. You have to keep in mind that if you want the full experience of a Yakuza game, you're basically forking over about 40-60 hours' worth of gameplay. You can't get a major amount of polish, scanning through that amount of content unless it's already been planned and set in motion completely. Even THEN, it's insanely quick.
Yakuza 3 was an incredibly silly game in many ways - and given that we know Kashiwagi survived, the whole scene of a military-grade helicopter gunning him down is incredibly hilarious.

5:03 The taxi points and save locations yes, definitely understand. Though, considering when this originally released, it makes sense and wasn't too big of a deal. This came from RGG1 and 2 off of the PS2, they're actually in the same spot as far as I remember so people coming from there just know to go there. But what changes was the item box being available in the phone booths - it used to be exclusively a save point, and you literally have to go to an item box to store your stuff.

@@MrGrimlocke that’s a slippery slope though. I dont mind a Y3, I just think its fine with the remaster that we have. That being said however i do think it would be very cool to see. I just hope to see the combat return( I know people say the combat was clunky but i enjoyed it. Especially the moves you could pull off, and moves to counter the blocking you could do Aswell. I hope they can make a bakance of the two.) Also woukd be cool to see Y3 models be wide again and Doe eyed lol. I dunno it just looks adorable 😄
I personally really like Yakuza 3. It's not the strongest in the series but I really enjoy it nonetheless. I really like that Kiryu tries to leave his Yakuza past behind and to see that he just wants to live a normal life with the kids. He also seems so much happier in Yakuza 3, especially in comparison to Yakuza 5 where he is most of the time sad and wishes to return to his past life. I think for his character development Yakuza 3 is probably the strongest and most important game. Most problems, like the blocking and few moves at the start, could probably easily be fixed in Kiwami 3. The biggest problem is probably that you play it directly after Kiwami 2, which is one of the latest in terms of graphics and gameplay.
Here's my personal opinion that kiwami 3 should be released. First, you can improve the ratings of yakuza 3. yakuza 3 is the most extreme contrast of reviews among fans. There are probably a lot more people who don't like it and a lot of people who decide not to play it. As a result, there are a lot of people who don't play yakuza 4 and yakuza 5 itself because people skip yakuza 3. This is a huge loss for players to enjoy the kiryu story. If you make it right, not only can you reverse the bad reviews of the past, but those who are satisfied with it will naturally try to play 4 and 5 degrees. Second, yakuza 3 is a work that has good characters' charms compared to storytelling that is divided into likes and dislikes. I think one of the advantages of yakuza 3 is its attractive and unique characters. Characters such as Asagao's Kids, Mine, who is evaluated as the best boss of the series, and Rikiya are the biggest beneficiaries of this work. As mentioned earlier, those who skip 3 do not know the charms of these characters. If kiwami 3 is released, it could greatly contribute to making these characters re-examined and popular. Third, we already have the case for kiwami 2. In fact, the story for yakuza 2 is not as good as 3. The emergence of tigers and Osaka Castle was a much-criticized factor in the past. However, kiwami 2 scored 85 Metascore points. This shows that you can get as many hits as you want if the game itself is quality, regardless of the story. The story for kiwami 2 hasn't changed much compared to the original, just improving the graphics and adding play content. The same goes for kiwami 3. If you reinforce the flaws in the original story, but improve the combat system and put in a great variety of sub-content, kiwami 3 can be made into a piece of work enough for kiwami 2. Although some fans keep mentioning that the story for yakuza 3 doesn't need to be remade because it's the worst, if you counter them with the example of kiwami 2, you can't really argue that kiwami 3 is unnecessary. Fourth, if kiwami 3 is successful, remakes of 4 and 5 can also be realized. Fifth, it's possible to keep our forever hero, Kiryu, in the name of a remake. For fans who are sad to let Kiryu go, releasing a series of Kiwami series could be greatly welcomed.
The best reason why kiwami 3 needs a remake: cabaret club minigame. The thing that disappointed me even more than the combat was the carabet club minigame, i saw it and thought "omg so this is where 0 got it from" but i was so, so wrong.
1:25 The Wii U version is apparently the superior version to the PS3 and also the best way to experience the original Yakuza 1 and 2. I tried the game on my hacked Wii U and I definitely see it. It uses the gamepad pretty well. You always have the map on there, can set a marker with the touchscreen, plenty of options and more.
I am one of those 3 fans and can confirm even to this day 3 has a very special place in my heart and if I’m thinking about my favourite games in the series this one always bubbles to the surface before my logical brain takes over Yakuza - like a dragon has been such a high point for me In what is often a really depressing climate for video games seeing this series rise to become such a hugely recognised thing that bumps out high quality games regularly and I know longer need to worry about them being localised is something special to me. In conclusion Kiwami 3 yes please
Firstly, good video. Secondly, I don't hate the concept of remaking games. But thirdly, as more time passes I think I'm just tired of constant remakes for games, especially when I just don't think it's necessary. I don't love Yakuza 3 and I don't think it needs one. Yes it has issues, but if you're getting into the franchise, even after playing 0 and the remakes, adjusting to the game even just to see the story continue isn't like pulling teeth. It is still plenty playable and has a lot to offer, it's why it has such a passionate fanbase. What they do to remake it, will inevitably lose what made it what it is. Games are absolutely a product of when they release and I think more people should be more willing to accept that than just continue to beg for remakes. At some point we will get far enough where people will want a remake of a remake just because they like the current style more. Which sounds ridiculous to me. Tl;dr: Games can be old and we can see if the design holds up over time and the games that do are what separates the men from the boys. And gamers should be more willing to go through a process. Primarily ones that go out of their way to discuss games online. And the thought of Yakuza 0 getting a remake made me physically recoil, but it was a good bit.
I only survived 100% of the achievements in the third yakuza, and did not go through 100% of the competition list, so this will be a good reason to come back, look at familiar locations in good graphics and finish each part of the game
I'll never understand the desire to want devs wasting time on a remake of a game that's still perfectly playable(seriously man I played Y3 after 0, K1, and K2 and I still think that game bangs). I'm still sitting here wanting a bare minimum port of Yakuza 1 and 2 HD.
As someone who steamrolled through 0 then Kiwami 1 & 2 but was stopped in my tracks halfway through 3 because of jank I would ABSOLUTELY want a Kiwami 3.
God this franchise has very quickly become like my top 3 game franchises. I hope they never stop making these games. It’s been a while since I’ve played a game where it’s like hey let’s just have fun.
Would I take a good remake of Yakuza 3? Sure! Would I take a yakuza 3 that gets the Kiwami 2 treatement? I'd rather they use the money for something else, thank you. Like porting the PSP games.
Kiwami 3 but the combat is similar to Gaiden's with the Legend Remix mod. I and a lot of other people would be very happy. SnowiestAngeman should make a video about Triple AAA and his Yakuza combat mods, they're so good. And imo he knows the ins and outs of each game and great game designs more than RGG themselves.
Don't want or need it, but wouldn't say no to more of my boy, Rikiya. We all know the real solution is to force people to start with the PS2 originals first anyway.
Once Kiwami 3 comes out, slowly but surely Yakuza 4 will turn into what Yakuza 3 is now in terms of it being the black sheep of the franchise and eventually people will ask for a Kiwami 4
Yakuza 4 is leagues ahead of 3, crazy how there's only a year between the 2 entries. It's so much more polished and fun, that it would benefit much less from a remake. Not to mention the biggest issue there is the story, they won't rewrite that.
And then after 4 Kiwami, Yakuza 5 will be too dated. It's a continuous cycle, which is why I don't join the people who constantly say "YOU NEED TO REMAKE X GAME". How bout' we just make new games???
@@Maloolz Given how the new games turned out and the general direction for the series maybe it's better to remake old games/entries in this case than create new ones. But I agree, we need more new original titles, it's remasters/remakes and sequels all over.
@@sillysalad0Tbh it kinda does. It’s not as bad as 3, but it’s infinitely more obnoxious than 5. If 3 got remade I could easily see people railing on 4 more.

Nice to see the love for Lost Judgment. It’s a really wide raging game and I’m looking forward to my new game plus run.
7:19 Thank you. Someone is finally bringing that up
You had me at playable Mine.
I am one of those 3 fans and can confirm even to this day 3 has a very special place in my heart and if I’m thinking about my favourite games in the series this one always bubbles to the surface before my logical brain takes over
Yakuza - like a dragon has been such a high point for me In what is often a really depressing climate for video games seeing this series rise to become such a hugely recognised thing that bumps out high quality games regularly and I know longer need to worry about them being localised is something special to me.
WE NEED LIKE A DRAGON KENZAN! 🐉
I only survived 100% of the achievements in the third yakuza, and did not go through 100% of the competition list, so this will be a good reason to come back, look at familiar locations in good graphics and finish each part of the game
I personally believe that a Yakuza 0 Kiwami would be redundant. It's already perfect...
Imagine the quality of life changes tho...
@@spongehub8246 True! The potential has been mostly realized. _Mostly._
@@courier6640 agreed it's still goated despite the old engine
Kiryu did that to mine because they both decided it would look cool.
If Chihiro Aoki ever remixes both Fly and Bruise they might as well just hand her Soundtrack of the Year
Watching their asses gently touching the rails and them flipping out lmao
I love yakuza 3 it’s one of my favorites but yeah it definitely feels clunky at times so i would personally love a kiwami version of it
snowiestangeman saying "black sheep" compilation when
Okinawa in the Dragon Engine will look incredible, that's what I want to see the most.
Can't wait for the plot kiwami
I would love a Kiwama 3 but I believe the game still holds up aside from the infinite block
Mine not having sufficient screen time imo was my biggest narrative complaint with 3 and It's why I'd want a kiwami 3
I'm that person who's gonna download "Y3 Original ost mod"
Because I have a bias on Y3 ost
But thanks for the great vid
I'll never understand the desire to want devs wasting time on a remake of a game that's still perfectly playable(seriously man I played Y3 after 0, K1, and K2 and I still think that game bangs). I'm still sitting here wanting a bare minimum port of Yakuza 1 and 2 HD.
You watched the whole video and you still don’t understand why people want a Kiwami 3?
@@samyprostar it wasn't very convincing
Alternate title: How SnowiestAngeman Teamed Up with Clive Rosfield to Hit Yakuza 3 with a Level 5 Zantetsuken
Bruh 11:33 to 11:43 gave me goosebumps. Yakuza really did come from a long way
As someone who steamrolled through 0 then Kiwami 1 & 2 but was stopped in my tracks halfway through 3 because of jank I would ABSOLUTELY want a Kiwami 3.
Uh yeah perfect timing because YAKUZA IS ON SWITCH NOW WHAT THE HECK
God this franchise has very quickly become like my top 3 game franchises. I hope they never stop making these games. It’s been a while since I’ve played a game where it’s like hey let’s just have fun.
That said... Masterpiece
👍👍👍
If your standards is low
@@futrecacao I just like simple things, the original game satisfied me. But I didn't say that Kiwami 3 doesn't have to be made
Yakuza 3 is my 3 favorite behind like a dragon(7)and Giden. I will never stop asking for a kawami 3 game
Would I take a good remake of Yakuza 3?
Sure!
Would I take a yakuza 3 that gets the Kiwami 2 treatement?
I'd rather they use the money for something else, thank you.
Like porting the PSP games.
Little did he know we would not be getting Yakuza 3 Kawami. We would instead be getting a pirate Majima game
Because I want it, give it to me
I WANT IT NOW
If Kiwami 3 was real it’d probably be in my top 5 Favourite Yakuza games
Don't want or need it, but wouldn't say no to more of my boy, Rikiya.
We all know the real solution is to force people to start with the PS2 originals first anyway.
Yakuza has my favorite boss theme. Plus it had some funny reoccurring substory characters 😂😂
If they make Kiwami 3, they really would have to make Thug style Majima at the beginning of the game instead of that bladeless Majima fight
Once Kiwami 3 comes out, slowly but surely Yakuza 4 will turn into what Yakuza 3 is now in terms of it being the black sheep of the franchise and eventually people will ask for a Kiwami 4
would it though, because 4 doesnt suffer the same gameplay problems that 3 has that people are upset about
Yakuza 4 is leagues ahead of 3, crazy how there's only a year between the 2 entries.
If 3 got remade I could easily see people railing on 4 more.
tbh I feel like the orphanage kids walk animation was the best part of yakuza 3 that was so funny everytime again and again
