Nice. Thanks for the video. What can go bad if the orings are our? I noticed that my fan clutch had gone out. The truck did over heat to about 230. When I changed my fan clutch I noticed that my vent pipe from the valve cover was showing more blow by than usual. Like burn smoke. I also noticed like oil inside my fuel tank. And I'm burning like 3-4 gallons of oil per week. I was told that due to my engine over heated, I maybe messed up the o-rings on the injectors. I also found out that if fuel gets inside the oil pan , it's the injector cup. But since I have oil in my fuel tank, it's the o-rings on my injectors. I dont have oil spiltting or showing on my hand with the engine on. And the knob where u add oil. Smoke is coming out but no oil. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks again
Mr Gingerich I have a quick question. I have a 99 with ddec iv. I am just wanting to replace one injector on the number one cylinder. it has the 765 jake brake do I need to readjust valves on intake or exhaust , and or jake brake if everything is running fine for one injector replacement?
I got 1999 volvo vnl detroit diesel 60 series, dashboard cluster diagnostic reads injector # 1 Active Data valid but high Count 34 On top of motor head cover by first bolt its all wet How can I know if it's injector or could it be wires going to it or O rings
I didn’t see you install the gasket that goes down in the engine it’s made out of an exhaust type material, also didn’t see you install the big O ring that goes down in the engine
that bottom or exhaust seal is also called ''graphite seal, and yes, there is a problem if that seal is not there, injectors are going out more often, am having that problem with my truck, even my serial number does not caLL FOR THE BIG FAT RING OR THE GRAPHITE SEALS, AM PUTING THEM ON TO avoid future problems, still a good video and clean shop,
If you add graphite seal and big fat black seal both in the injector cup before putting injector in, u will have fuel dilution in oil cuz it raises the injector to have very small leak. Detroit only recommends putting big fat black seal not graphite seal anymore.

I did not see the thick O ring on the bottom before tip of injector.when it is necessary to put a carbon o ring on the tip as well?

Where are brass O rings, ones on the bottom, or no need to replace it
