Those metal plates/mounts are NOT A good place to put your jack stands. At least on the 2013 ATS. Placed mine there and they caved in a little bit. There’s a weld a little behind them where the jack stand fits perfect but you HAVE to jack up the car from the front.
My belt keeps striping over time could this be the cause? A worn out bearing

Ah crap, that is not a good place to put axle stands. You NEVER support a vehicle on control arms. They are not intended for forces like that. Plus they move too much you could risk truck falling off the stands.
Agreed. I'd go back a couple feet behind the wheels on the secure level frame

Thanks much as this lesson is great!! Can I ask yah when I'm on TDC 1 my 3 exhaust and 2 intake is loose. Happen to know why that is? And when I'm on TDC 4 my 5 intake and 8 exhaust is loose. Is my cam or engine shot?
You didn’t mention anything about timing marks so I’m assuming the pump isn’t timed?
I like the way you colored the rockers. It makes setting the valves just like painting by the numbers. 😁
Thank you for the video as I need to replace an injector on a 2000 model 8.3 Cummins in the morning . I'm used to the older Cummins small & big cam 855 engines from the 1970's / 80's but still learning on the newer ones . 😁

I have an 8.3 ISC that is pinging away while running out of the oil fill tube. I pulled the front cover to inspect. So, they play in between the fuel pump gear and camshaft gears are normal?
Can I contact you? Having an issue with the same engine. I go to tdc set lash for 1i 1e 2i 3e 4i and 5e. When I do my 360 for my next set the valves are tight

Thank you. You are one of the only ones that gives an actual answer on which direction to rotate the engine because by the time I get to that point. Everything is taken apart. I have a LB7 with 30%, stock/S475, Sportsman CP3, built for 700HP engine and 850HP Allison. My #7 Rocker already lost a pad and #3 and #5 were chipped. Now I have that tapping sound and thumping coming from the air filter. Do they make roller rockers for a LB7?

the one I’m working on has numbers 1-6 on the fuel pump I assume you put 1 tdc then set your first set of valves then go 6 to tdc then do second? Can’t find the info on insite

Highly doubt you will see this nor remember, but i am looking to add this kit to my ISL and i was wondering if the housing kit is all you need, or do you need a doffeent set of rockers, springs and so on to be compatible. O can find the both front and rear housings for sale all over the place, but cant find if theres anything that needs to be done below to ensure proper function.

Is it common for there to be some valve train noise at idle after an overhead until the Jacobs C-Brake had been activated and filled with oil (bled)?
